PROJECT OPENSKY

United Parcel Service Boeing 747-212B(SF) FOR FS2000/FS2002.
N522UP 747-212B(SF) SN21936/LN401 Built 10/01/79(4 days before me!) for Singapore Airlines as 9V-SQK. This airplane was operated by Singapore until replaced by their "Megatop" 747-400's. It was sold to Air India and operated by then, in a really neat paintjob, as VT-ENQ. UPS purchased this airplane and converted it into a freighter at Wichita I believe. This one is a "B" model, which is higher gross weight version, with structrual strengthining.

Up until about 2000, UPS had 4 747-200's and 12 747-100's. UPS then leased four more -200's, which all have slightly different paint jobs. This airplane represents a typical -200 line freighter of the original four -200's. All of the 200's have few windows left down the side, which saves ALOT of weight when you concider 100 or so windows at 10-12lbs a piece! Beisdes, who's looking out of them anyway?!? The paint job is slightly different where the brown comes up to meet the tail, its much more curved than the -100's. Also, it always seemed to me that the -200's looked a bit more clean.

Thanks to Bob Jones for help with the textures!
