OPERATION OF THE TUPOLEV SB-2 "KATIUSKA"

To take off, once the engines started, take your flaps down one notch and push throttle sticks to full power. At 85 knots, lift your tail and pull your stick smoothly or you will stall...

Once taken off, get your wheels up and dont forget this is not a light fighter, she needs a long runaway to take off, and land. Climb steeply.

While the undercarriage lifts up, you will see how the rear gunner cockpit opens and the gunner slides his machine gun out.

Speed is your weapon to match fighters. No other fighters than the Legion Condor's Messerschmidt Me-109B o C can reach you. Altitude is also on your side, climb as much as you can and then dive slightly to your target. Don't overspeed 250 knots, you will lose control. Remember, if you get down too much to move the mud, you'll be history !!.

You have two high rate 7.62 mm (.30") ShKAS machine guns in the nose turret. If you are attacked head to head, don't be afraid of facing the enemy. Your firepower is big enough to set a big fire wall in front of you. But, remember, dont bank or yaw too much, this is not a fighter, don't try to dogfight !.

To release bombs, (in Free Flight or Quick Combat),
- open your Bomb Bay with key "D" in CFS2 keyboard mode, or "Ç" in CFS1 mode.
- select bombs with "Backspace" (CFS2) or "SHIFT+3" (CFS1)
- drop them with "ENTER" (CFS2) or "3" (CFS1).
Have a look inside the bombe bay before releasing bombs. Nice, isn't it?

In the virtual cockpit, look how your wheelstick moves up and down as you move your joystick. Also, have a look to the botton left side of the cockpit. There you will find a picture of the pilot's girl friend, a famous singer named "La Bella Chelito". She send kisses to her beloved pilot. Beautiful, isn't she?

Now enjoy !, and FLY LIKES EAGLES !!.
