description=The Tu-360 hypersonic bomber was designed in the 1980s by a team led by V. A. Andreyev at the Tupolev OKB. It was to carry a 10,000 kg offensive load to a distance of 15,000 km at a speed of Mach 6. Power was to be supplied by six variable-cycle turboramjet engines fuelled with liquid hydrogen. Armament was carried in two weapon bays located in the wingroots, crew consisting of two pilots. According to the draft design, the range requirement could not be achieved, maximum range at Mach 6 being 9,000-10,000 km.
