If the motor does not start and the reservoir is empty, use the manual air pump to fill it up. 2=Lean mixture to get best power ratings (tap ±7 times F2 while holding Shift and Ctrl at sea level) . NEXT... [4] 0=Due to a very narrow wheel base, the Bf 108 has a tendency to wobble. Be gentle while taxiing. 1=Apply the desired amount of flaps. No flaps necessary on long enough airstrip. 30% maximum for very short airstrip. Each tap of F7 gives you 5% flaps. You may also use the control panel mouseable "flapwheel". 2=Gradually increase gaz as to not scrape the left wing on the ground. Help the tail come off the ground.NEXT... [5] 0=Once 115KPH is reached, compress the gear's struts by pushing a bit on the stick then pull. Once airborne apply brakes to the wheels to stop them from turning and start pulling-up the gear by yanking back and forth 43 times on the gear lever. 1=If you loose count, a sliding needle will give you a rough estimation of your progress. If you have a passenger, let him do the work. 2=Pull-up the flaps and get to the desired altitude and heading, NEXT... [6] 0=Max speed altitude is around 500 meters at 303KPH. Cruise altitude is between 2000 and 3000 meters at 70% throttle for a speed between 265 to 280KPH. 1="Economy" mode is over 4000 meters at 60% throttle. 2=This aircraft was designed with no "automatic mixture" settings in mind. Learn to adjust mixture "by ears". It's part of the fun to listen at a motor's purring gently. NEXT... [7] 0=STALL: 82KPH (clean) 72KPH (flaps and gear). 1=This aicraft is not certified for aerobatics but is very nimble. Carburator will cut-off on negative g. 2=Max Alt: 6000 meters. Range: 1000KM. Autonomy: 3h45 to 4h00 on internal tanks (220 liters). 3=Inverted V8 Argus 10C, 237 HP at T/O. Air-cooled. Very dependable. 4=No armor plating or self -sealing tanks, so stay away from live ammo! NEXT... [8] 0=Decreased speed below 200KPH and lower gear. Maintained at least 125KPH while doing it. 1=If you try to lower flaps while at iddle, an alarm will sound if gears are not totally down. No flaps to 30% flaps on normal landings. 2=100% flaps for very short landings, but watch your speed as it will drop dramatically! 3=Three-points landings are preferable but don't make a fuss if you only put the front wheels on the ground. NEXT... [9] 0=But wait until tailwheel is on the ground to apply brakes! 1=After complete stop, verify that compressed air reservoir is full then cut-off both magnetos. Let flaps at 100% extension to diminish fatigue. 2=If parked outside, lower sunscreens and close canopy. Have holding blocks placed under the two front wheels as there's no park brakes.
