THE LOCKHEED SR71 BLACKBIRD - PLANE & FS98 PANEL
Note this sr71 has been converted to FS98 bye jla.
By Phil Perrott

(including the SR71 for FS5 by ROD CONKLIN - 76525.3706@compuserve.com)

Instructions:

1) unzip the file SR71pnl into c:\temp, or any temporary folder

2) unzip the file SR71rec into c:\temp, or any temporary folder

3) Run the Microsoft Converter and convert the SR71.

4) move the new *.gau files into your \gauges folder in FS98

5) delete the existing panel.cfg file in your SR71a\panel folder

6) move the new *.bmp files and the panel.cfg file into your SR71a\panel folder

Operation :

a) Press 2 to bring up the autopilot panel

b) There is the option of having a Main Artificial Horizon in the centre of the panel.
I left it out as I thought it spoiled the overall appearance of the panel.
If you think otherwise, then open the panel.cfg file and remove the two backslashes
( \\ )at the bottom of the gauge list, save it and you'll have the Main AH next
time you load the SR71.

eg. \\gauge25=SR71.Att,330,346,90

change to gauge25=SR71.Att,330,346,90

c) The Machmeter reads up to Mach 3 but in reality operates only up to Mach 1.
When a new machmeter becomes availble I will update the panel.
