Pilot must verify Form700 (Daily Inspection) completed prior to accepting aircraft.

BEFORE STARTING ENGINE
[ ] Contents of Fuel tank, Fuel Selector Valve -- MAIN
[ ] Test operation of flying surfaces, visually confirm
[ ] Visually check no damage to float structure.
[ ] Radiator Flap -- OPEN

ENGINE START
Press E to initiate engine auto-start
sequence, or:
[ ] Ignition -- OFF
[ ] Propeller SPEED CONTROL-- fully forward
[ ] Throttle -- OPEN 1/2 to 1 inch
[ ] Propeller Area -- CLEAR
[ ] Ignition -- ON
[ ] STARTER and BOOSTER coil -- press for max 20 seconds
[ ] Continue hand priming --4 to 10 strokes
[ ] Throttle -- 1,000/ 1,200 rpm
[ ] Oil Pressure -- CHECK
[ ] Coolant Temperature --CHECK

BEFORE TAKEOFF
Warm up to at least 15degC (oil temperature) and 60deg C (coolant temperature)
[ ] Test Magnetos -- no more than 150 rpm drop
[ ] Generator -- check battery charging OK
[ ] Canopy -- OPEN
[ ] Air pressure -- Check, 80 psi
Check List sequence; T-P-F-F
T -Trim
[ ] Elevator Trim -- 1 div down
[ ] Rudder Trim -- Fully right
P -Propellor control
[ ] Propeller control -- fully forward
F -Fuel
[ ] Fuel Quantity -- CHECK
[ ] Fuel Selector Valve -- RECHECK main
[ ] Primer -- LOCKED
F -Flaps
[ ] Flaps -- UP
[ ] Flight Controls -- FREE and CORRECT
[ ] Flight Instruments -- CHECK and SET
[ ] Engine Instruments and Ammeter -- CHECK

TAKEOFF
[ ] Gently increase to +7PSI boost
[ ] Swing to the left -- correct with rudder
[ ] Propeller -- fully forward
[ ] Takeoff Speed -- 72 Mph, (62 knots)
Above 100 ft, the Canopy can be closed.
[ ] Trim -- re-trim for Climb

CLIMB
NORMAL CLIMB
[ ] Airspeed -- 180 Mph
[ ] Throttle -- +12 psi Boost or FULL (whichever is less)
[ ] Propeller -- 2,850 rpm
[ ] Fuel Selector Valve -- MAIN
[ ] Canopy -- CLOSED

CRUISE
[ ] Throttle -- 0 psi boost
[ ] Propeller -- 2,000 rpm
[ ] Elevator Trim -- ADJUST
[ ] Rudder Trim -- ADJUST

AEROBATICS
[ ] Canopy -- CLOSED
[ ] Loop -- 300 mph (NOT recommended with floats!)
[ ] Roll -- 240 mph
[ ] Half roll of loop --340 mph
[ ] Climbing roll -- 330 mph
[ ] Fick manoeuvres -- NOT allowed

[ ] Speed control lever set -- 2650 rpm
F - Fuel
[ ] Main tanks -- ON

[ ] Flap position -- DOWN, wing indicator visible

Approach and LANDING
[ ] Airspeed -- 85-90 mph (flaps DOWN)
[ ] Flaps -- Down
[ ] Trim -- ADJUST
[ ] Touchdown -- FRONT/ MID SECTION OF FLOATS
[ ] Landing Run out -- SLIGHT BACK PRESSURE ON COLUMN, WILL SLOW DOWN IN 80 YDS

After Landing
[ ] Raise Flaps -- UP, wing indicator not visible
[ ] Throttle back -- 800 rpm
[ ] Cut engine -- press cut out switch
[ ] Fuel -- close main valve

BAILING OUT
[ ] Airspeed -- REDUCE as much as possible
[ ] Canopy -- OPEN
[ ] Abandon airplane
CAUTION: Before bailing out at altitude,
inhale as much oxygen as possible.
