FS98 INSTALLATION:

This package represents an alternative to the usual "Zip" method
of making Flight Simulator files available for download.

Inasmuch as the included self extracting file contains files that are
operational only in FS98, certain modifications have been made to
them that could not be "spawned" directly out of the so-called
Microsoft FS98 converter although the converter must still be installed
and working on your computer.

You should use "winzip" to extract these files.
__________

FIRST: This aircraft has already been converted to work with Flight Simulator 98.
Although no conversion is needed, you MUST have Microsoft's converter installed correctly on
your computer for these files to work!

NOTE:
* If you are not familiar with how to move or copy files from one
place to another in Windows 95, see ADDENDUM at the end of this file.

SECOND:
After opening the "zip" file by clicking on the icon you will see a
file in the form "Sni7lcmp.exe"

Click on this file to extract the files to the default directory;

C:\AFOD\Sni7lcmp will be created automatically.

Afterward, move the file folder "Sni7lcmp" and all of
it's contents to the "Aircraft" directory in Flight Simulator 98.
You may delete the AFOD directory and it's contents.

THIRD:
Since There are special gauges required for this aircraft, they
must also be installed. Extract the "gauges.exe" file to the
default C:\AFOD directory. Remove the files from INSIDE the "gauges"
folder you just created and put them in the "gauges" folder in
your Flight Simulator 98 Folder.

NOTE: You may get warnings that you are about to overwrite existing files
in your gauges directory. NONE OF YOUR DEFAULT GAUGES WILL BE LOST OR
OVERWRITTEN. Many of the gauges used with my aircraft are used interchangably;
you may see a gauge titled "Waco" or "Sikorsky". If you get a warning that
you are about to overwrite a file it means that you have installed one of my
gauges previously to be used with another aircraft. You may choose to overwrite
the file or not... it does not matter, it's the very same file.

You are ready to fly!

*******

My Thanks and admiration for the special consideration of Mr. Tom Gibson
without whose help this version with "moving parts" would not have been
possible. Thank you Tom!

My special thanks to Mr. Robert Parrick, designer of the panel and remake
of the included gauges required for this project... and for his
allowing me to use them.

ADDENDUM:

How to move files using "drag & drop" in Windows 95:

In order to move the entire directory at one time, simply highlight the
folder (in c:\AFOD\...) and then while pressing on the control key,
press also on the "c" key. This copies the folder and it's contents into your
computer's memory buffer or "clipboard". Navigate to the "Aircraft"
directory in FS'98 and and press the control key and then the "v" key.
This will place the folder in the new location. You can go back and delete
the entire "AFOD" directory when finished.

may have on your computer.
