FOREWORD
========
I couldn't help but creating the panel of the aircraft last flown in my career, the B747. I started from an old FS98 747-200 by SkyDesign with a photographic panel background, which was pretty close to the real thing and I repainted many parts of that panel to improve its look. Since I like freewares I decided to have a go at a new B747-200B panel, aiming to create something as much as possible close to the reality. From an official source I could get the panel layout, operating manuals, check-lists and so on, upon which to base my work and I put into work my past professional experience to create this panel.

NOTE 1: Some buttons and switches are just there to reproduce the reality, but they do not work.

NOTE 2: I made an extensive use of default fs2k2 gauges and also FS2000 Concorde gauges, so you MUST HAVE the Concorde.gau in your Fs2k2 Gauges folder!

INSTALLATION
============
I recommend to download Project Opensky's beautiful packages 'os742alitalia02.zip' or 'osb747-200_alitalia_cargo.zip' aircrafts, or use any other B747 you may have in your aircraft folder. You can also use any heavy four engine jet aircraft.

Step 1- Backup the original 'panel.cfg' and place the whole contents of the enclosed 'Panel.zip' you just downloaded in the Panel folder of the selected aircraft.

Step 2- Place the whole contents of the enclosed 'Gauges.zip' in the main fs2k2 'Gauge' folder.

TIP
===
Please note that most of the FS2002 aircrafts have the [Radio] Section in the 'aircraft.cfg' set for Standby frequencies available in NAV1 and NAV2 radios. In order to have the Nav frequencies selection work in this panel you must change the second digit of both Nav's to read 0 and not 1 after backing up the original if you want:

[Radios]
// Radio Type=available, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1=1
Com.1=1, 1
Com.2=1, 1
Nav.1=1, 0, 1 //<-------------------- the 2nd digit must be 0
Nav.2=1, 0, 0 //<-------------------- the 2nd digit must be 0
Adf.1=1
Transponder.1=1
Marker.1=1

NOTE 3
----------
One very interesting feature enclosed in this panel is an FMC gauge providing lots of useful flight informations and aural calls, like i.e. actual A/c weights in Kgs.,T/O and LDG Speeds, gear, flap positions calls and so on. It can be displayed by clicking over the little red button 'FMC' placed just below the autopilot panel. This window shows several types of A/c's at each click, starting from the A300 and sorted alphabetically by type; just remember TO CHOOSE THE B747-200 A/c: selecting this aircraft, the figures and calls seem to work well enough.
However, to hear the aural calls you must download a remarkable amount of .wav files, all beginning with 'TC_xxxx.wav' and install them in your main Fs2002 Sound folder: it shouldn't be very difficult to find them on the main FS sites, like SurClaro.com or SurClaro.
I didn't enclose them in this release just to keep the size of this zip file within reasonable limits.

WARNING: IF YOU DON'T SELECT THE CORRECT TYPE OF AIRCRAFT YOU'LL GET WRONG FIGURES AND/OR CALLS!

By the way, my best congratulations to Mr. Tom Corson, programmer of the TC.FMC.gau !

I think this should be the end of the installation procedure.

...Have happy flying!
