Thank you for downloading my DP-EMB program for Scenery Creator.
This program can genarate the API format program for the mountain,
island and other 3D-object for FS2000.

NOTE:
1. This program is only for FS2000. If you want to create the mountain
or islands, please use Ver.1
2. Please use this program with the related program.
(DP-3DV or others, see below.)

(1) Files included in this Package
"DpEmb2.exe" DP-EMB program
"Sample.sca" Mother SCASM program for sample API.
"Sample.emb" Sample data for this program.
"Sample.bmp" Sample texture for day time.
"Sample_LM.bmp" Sample texture for night time.
"Sample.bgl" Assembled sample BGL file by sample data.
"Sample.bat" Assemble batch file for sample data.
"dpemb2.jpg" Screen shot of this program.

(2) Standard Functions
Genarate the "*.api" (SCASM format program) directly from this program.

(3) Limitation
1) There is absolutely NO warranty or guarantee of any kind, expressed
or implied, for any problems arising from the use of this program.
Please use this program at the users own risk.
2) This program is 2D-CAD, so can not make the vertical face or the
overhung face.
3) This program can make the triangles up to about 600.
(This limitation is to SCASM compiler limitation.)
4) The mountain crush-check system is automatically combined.
5) The data file for DP-EMB(*.emb) has a complete path name for
the texture or the palette file, so if you change the path
of these, please reload again.
6) 24bit bitmap format is not supported on FS2000.
7) Once the point kiss to other point, never separate these points.
(To recovery from lovesick, please delete several triangles.)

(4) Upgrade functions from Ver.1.
1) Support the drag and drop.
2) Support 8,16bit BMP format. And support 512x512, 1024x1024 pixcel,
include 256x256 pixel.(Only the regular square.)
3) Can display the height for each points.
4) Can move the "RefPoint"
5) Support the remarks for each triangles.
6) Support the seasonal texture and night texture.

(5) Installation
Unzip this file and double click "DpEmb2.exe". (Only this action !)

(6) Uninstall
Delete "DpEmb2.exe". (Also only this.)

(7) Try to use the sample.
I added the sample data and the sample texture for this.
Please try to load on this data and output API format file named "Sample.api".
And copy to the same folder for "Sample.sca".
Then compile this by "scasm.exe", and install to the following folders....

"Sample.bgl" to:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2000\scenedb\cities\chicago\scenery

"Sample.bmp", "Sample_LM.bmp" to:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2000\scenedb\cities\chicago\texture

And start FS2000, then go to Meigs airport in Chicago U.S.
You can see the big island in east direction of you.....
(Please try to change to the night time.)

(8) How to use.
*The texture and palette files are not indispensable.

1. Read the texture file if you want to use.
2. Read the palette file for above, if you want to use.
3. Set to Polygon mode.(Or push "Triangle button" on the toolbar.)
4. Set to Kiss mode, if you want.
5. Also set to Render mode, if you want.
6. Move the mouse, and click the left button.
(This point is the first point of the triangle.)
7. Move the mouse to the other place, and click the left button.
(If you failed this action, please push 'Back space' key.)
8. Again, move the mouse to the third point and push the left button.
(You can see the new one triangle on the display.)
9. If you don't like this triangle, off the Polygon mode and move
the mouse on this triangle, then click the right mouse button.
(You can see Pull-Dwon menu. And select "Delete triangle"...)
10. Repeat the action of above 6,7 and 8, create and arrange the figure
of the object.
11. If you finished these, off the Polygon mode.
12. Move the mouse to the point which you want to change the property,
and click the right button. Appear Pull-Down menu and select "Point property"
then you can change the address of this point.
13. Select "API File Property" from file menu. (Or push "API ?" button.)
14. Set the property on "API File Property" dialog as you like.
( For ex. : You want to use the night time texture, check the "Night
Texture" check button.)
15. If you finished all of these jobs, please save the data once.
16DSelect "Output API File", and output API format file to the same folder
included "Sample.sca".
17DIf you want to check this API file, you can see the object in 3D
by my DP-3DV.
18DCopy "Sample.sca", "Sample.bat" and "Scasm.exe" to same folder.
19DDouble click "Sample.bat", then "Sample.bgl" generate.
20. Install "Sample.bgl" to FS2000 (Also "Sample.bmp","Sample_LM.bmp".)
21. Then try to fly, and check this object.

(9) The display and buttons of "DP-EMB"

=Menu Bar=

File

1. Clear Texture
Clear the texture on the display.

2. Open Bitmap texture File. (If you use the texture.)
Display 'FS Texture Open Dialog'.
Then Select "*.bmp" for FS2000 texture file.

3. Open FS5 Texture File.
And select the menu for the textre or the palette files.
Then also display 'FS Texture Open Dialog'.
Then select the texture or palette file for FS98.

4. New
Clear the data on the display.

5. Open
Open the data for DP-EMB.("*.emb")
(This program can load the both version automaticaly.)

6. Save
If you can see the data on the display, rewrite the data same file-name.

7. Save As..
If you can see the data on the display, write the data by other file-name.

8. Output API File
If you finished to create triangles, this function is create the API format
file for SCASM.

9. API File Property

To use "TexPoly" command for draw each triangles.
"ShadedTexPoly"
To use "ShadedTexPoly" command for draw each triangles.

= Prepared Texture =

If you want use the seasonal texture or the night time texture, check
each check button.
(Ofcause you should make the texture for these.)

If you don't select the texture, you can select the color for each faces.

10. Exit
Quit this program.

If you are in Polygon mode, the new point is join to the nearest point.
13. 'Render mode'
Render the all of the triangles or not.
14. 'Refpoint move mode"
You can change the "RefPoint" with left mouse button click.(Default : x=128, y=128)

1. 'RefPoint'
Display the "RefPoint" address.
2. 'X'
The X-position of the mouse.
3. 'Y'
The Y-position of the mouse.
4. 'Triangles='
The counter of triangles.
5. 'Points='
The counter of points.

(10) Pull-Down menu.
Push the right mouse button, then appear the Pull-Down menu on the screen.

Point property
--------------
Can change the address of each point.(Z is height.)
Triangle property
-----------------
Set the text string on selected triangle.
(Before push the right mouse button, please select one triangle by
the left mouse button click with CTRL key. Or "Select Triangle" menu below.)
Select Triangle
---------------
Select one triangle.
If you want to select one more triangles, use the left buton click with
SHIFT key.
Cansel Selection
----------------
Cancel the selection of the triangles.
(Or click the left mouse butyon on other place.)
Delete triangle
---------------
Delete one or more triangles which selected.

1. DP-CLE (Coast line editor for FS2000)
If need to change the original coast line of FS2000, this program
can change the shape of coast line.
And also change the flatten data.

2. DP-3DV (3D viewer for API / SCASM prgram)
You can see the API file with 3D-model, this will help you to understand
the figure visiblly.

3. DP-TXV (Small texture viewer.)
Small dialog program to search the texture.
