Better read me full screen.

This AIRBUS A330 Panel is for FS 2002 Professional, to be displayed at 1024x768 resolution.
It uses some FS2002 default gauges, many custom gauges and a large amount of gauges created by me, using the 'Easygauge' program by 'Bluesky software development'.
Thank you for downloading this package, I hope you'll enjoy it.

FOREWORD
=========
I decided to have a go to produce this panel trying to keep it as simple as possible, but very close to the reality. I got a big help by a real A330 Eurofly Captain, who supplied me pictures, manuals and technical advice. The only part that could look rather complicated is the proper use of the Autopilot panel, but I've enclosed a little tutorial trying to make things easier: please read it carefully.

INSTALLATION
============
I recommend to download the beautiful package 'opensky_A330_200_eurofly.zip', or use any other A330 you may have in your aircraft folder.
Step 1- Backup the original panel.cfg and place the whole contents of the enclosed 'PanelA330.zip' in the Panel folder of the selected aircraft.
Step 2- Place the whole contents of the enclosed 'Gauges.zip' in the main fs2k2 'Gauge' folder.

IMPORTANT
==========
In order to be able to tune Com and Nav radios, please check in the aircraft.cfg file the RADIO section which should read as follows:

[Radios]
// Radio Type=available, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1=1
Com.1=1, 0
Com.2=1, 1
Nav.1=1, 0, 1
Nav.2=1, 0, 0
Adf.1=1
Transponder.1=1
Marker.1=1

In the same way and in order to have the correct flaps lever positions, the FLAPS section should read as follows:

[Flaps.0]
type= 1
span-outboard= 0.800
extending-time= 15.000
system_type= 1
damaging-speed= 200.000
blowout-speed= 250.000
lift_scalar= 1.000
drag_scalar= 1.500
pitch_scalar= 3.000
flaps-position.0= 0.000
flaps-position.1= 8.000
flaps-position.2= 14.000
flaps-position.3= 22.000
flaps-position.4= 32.000

[Flaps.1]
type= 2
span-outboard= 0.800
extending-time= 12.000
system_type= 1
damaging-speed= 250.000
blowout-speed= 300.000
lift_scalar= 1.000
drag_scalar= 1.500
pitch_scalar= 3.000
flaps-position.0= 0.000
flaps-position.1= 20.000

NOTE
----------
One very interesting feature enclosed in this panel is an FMC gauge providing lots of useful flight informations and aural calls, like i.e. actual A/c weights in Kgs.,T/O and LDG Speeds, gear, flap positions calls and so on. It can be displayed clicking over the little black button 'FMC' placed on the left side of the autopilot panel. This window shows several types of A/c's at each click, starting from the A300 and sorted alphabetically by type; just remember TO CHOOSE THE A330-200 A/c: selecting this aircraft, the figures and calls seem to work well enough.
Of course, to have the aural calls work you must unzip the enclosed A330FMCsounds.zip and install them in your main Fs2002 Sound folder.
I have enclosed them in this release since many simmers had difficulty to find them in the net.

WARNING: IF YOU DON'T SELECT THE CORRECT TYPE OF AIRCRAFT YOU'LL GET WRONG FIGURES AND CALLS!

By the way, my best congratulations to Mr. Tom Corson, programmer of the TC.FMC.gau !

KNOWN ISSUE:
-------------------
The little FD (Flight Director) Button on the autoflight panel is there for realism only, and has NO EFFECT ON FLIGHT DIRECTOR BARS in the PFD.

I think this should be the end of the installation procedure.

...Have happy landings!

The 'wizard' Tony D'Ambrosio for his unbeatable freeware RealCRT.NDs gauge (copyright), which in my opinion still remains one of the best.
HGHB authors of the Gauges used in this panel.
FPDA authors of the Gauges used in this panel.
Other gauges Programmers (so many it would be too long to name them all!).
Capt. Giovanni Quai, who put me in touch with his son, a real Eurofly A330 Captain, for his technical support, evaluation and his precious advice.
