A revision of my previous FS2000 panel, using gauges that look more like the real ones.
For use in FS2002, but it might also work in FS2000 and the three CFS programs.
I haven't tested this, so do not blame me if it doesn't work.
This was my first attempt to create a panel.
Originally it was meant for use in FS2000 but it is now reworked for FS2002.

I know there are a lot of different panel configurations for the Texan / Harvard available on the net, but it seems that in reality, there are a lot of variations in panel layout too!
This panel is designed, based on a digital photograph, showing the cockpit panel of a North American T-6 Harvard, registration ID: B-84. This aircraft was in the service of Royal Dutch Air Force.
This aircraft is now owned, flown and maintained by the members of the Royal Dutch Air Force Historical Flight, based at Gilze-Rijen Airbase in the Netherlands.
So the panel layout is the layout of that particular aircraft, with a few minor changes, due to availability of FS2000 / FS2002 gauges.
In time a second version will be released, containing more cockpit views, also using digital photo's as background bitmaps.
I have no release date yet, because I have to take the photo's first.
The panel has no virtual panel, if anyone has the skills and wants to create a virtual cockpit, please inform me what pictures you do need, I will try to supply them, but do not pin me to a date, as I said, the pictures have not been taken yet...

Contents of the ZIP file:

FILE_ID.DIZ.TXT: file ID.
README.TXT: this file.
PHOTO.JPG: the original digital photograph, used for background bitmap.
T-6 PANEL.JPG: acreenshot of the actual panel as it appears in FS2002.
T-6 PANEL INFO.JPG: acreenshot of the actual panel with gauge info.
PANEL.ZIP: files, to be extracted to the aircraft's panel map.
GAUGES.ZIP: files, to be extracted to the FS2002 gauges map.

Panel Installation:

Assuming you use WinZip, installation is straight forward.
Unzip PANEL.ZIP into the panel folder of your aircraft, which, I do assume (and hope) is a Harvard, Texan or SNJ.
GAUGES.ZIP can be extracted to the main folder of your flight sim.
Make sure you have marked the "use folder names" option.

The panel has NO night light effects. As I stated before, it was my first attempt and I am happy I came this far already.

Engine starting sequence:

- Make sure you start FS with the engine off (of course)!!
- Set the master power switch (26) to ON.
- Set the MIXTURE lever on the throttle quadrant (1) to RICH (= UP).
- Set the fuel tank selector switch (3) to a filled tank.
you can monitor that on the fuel indicator (6).
- Set the magneto's switch (2) to both.
- Use the mouse pointer to press the engine starter switch (17) on the stick.

I also would like to thank the "Dutch Air Force Historical Flight" for giving me the opportunity to visit their flight and let me take all the pictures I wanted (and even more!!!).
Guys, thanks!!! I wished I could become a member of your flight!
