THIS REPAINT

Repaint in Air Wales livery by John Newman. (john.newman47@ntlworld.com).
Thanks mainly to F. Sánchez-Castañer for his excellent ATR 42 aircraft and his permission to upload this repaint.
Thanks also to David Evans for his previous repaints from which the main base textures for this repaint were produced.
Thanks to Massimo Taccoli for permission to use his "prop.bmp".

With regard to more realistic ATR 42 sounds then I suggest either use the sound files from F. Sánchez-Castañer's ATR 72 download i.e. file ref. " fsc_atr72500_v10.zip ".
Or alternatively download and use " atrsnz.zip " by Aaron R. Swindle - Skysong Soundworks.

INSTALLATION:

You should have a basic idea of the flight simulator files and folders structure in order to perform the installation. Remember one thing: if you are prompted to overwrite a file, don't do it unless you are 100% sure what you're doing (maybe you made a mistake and are about to delete your favourite plane, so don't do it).

1. Unzip the "atr42aw" file to C:\unzipped.

2. From C:\unzipped from the expanded "atr42aw" file "Copy and paste" or Drag and Drop" the "atr42_300_aw" folder directly into the "Aircraft" folder of FS2002.
i.e. to Microsoft Games/FS2002/Aircraft.

3. From C:\unzipped from the expanded "atr42aw" file "Copy and paste" the contents only of the "Gauges" folder directly into the "Gauges" folder of FS2002.
i.e. to Microsoft Games/FS2002/Gauges.
IMPORTANT: INSIDE THIS ARCHIVE THERE IS A FILE CALLED FSC.ATR.FL.CAB (.cab extension may be hidden in your system). DO NOT DE-COMPRESS IT!!! DO NOT EXTRACT THE FILES INSIDE IT!!! (unless you know what to do with them) JUST COPY THE FILE INTO THE GAUGES FOLDER, *****AS STATED ABOVE******. FS2002 WILL TAKE CARE OF FINDING TEH BMP AND XML INSIDE IT. IF YOU DECOMPRESS IT, MOST PROBABLY HALF OF THE GAUGES WILL BE MISSING IN YOUR PANEL.

4. Alternatively unzip the various files directly to the relevant parts of FS2002 if you are familiar with the procedure.

5. Go to the Docs folder, double-click on file "ATR42.htm" and read it carefully.

If you have problems with installation then suggest that you contact the originator of this repaint i.e. john.newman47@ntlworld.com who has fully tested these files in FS 2002 before upload.
