F4U1A, C and D Corsairs weapons addon for CFS2 v1.0
By Sergio Dolcemascolo

These are historically correct versions of the pylons and fuel tanks used by the A, C and D versions of the F4U Corsair. They are intended to be used in three separated aircrafts instead of
the use of one dp file with all the payloads. I thing that this metod is better to improve the realism in CFS2.

Warning: You need to install my Enhanced U.S. weapons addon first or this addon will not work. You can find it in the same website from where you downloaded this addon.

1.To install:
Use the instrutions contained in Install.txt. If you are using already modified Corsair dp and airfiles, copy the files to a safe place before install this addon or they will be overwrited. Advanced users can use the install metod described in Advanced users install instructions.txt.

4. Description:
F4U1A Corsair: The Brewster bomb rack was developed to improve the Corsair ability to deliver bombs. This rack was made here in two versions, L and M, each one fitting a 1000lb or a 500lb bomb. Also a 170gal centerline fuel tank is avaible in this payload version, along with the small front hook at which the tank was fitted. No rockets are carried by the "A" version.

F4U1D Corsair: Two pylons were added under the center wing section of the F4U1D, and these could be used to carry bombs up to 1000lb in size, napalm, or 154-gallons fuel tanks. These pylons are avaible here in three versions: to carry bombs, with sway braces to carry fuel tanks and with its protective covers used when they are not in use. The names are terminated in "a" or "b": "a" are painted medium blue and "b" in dark blue for use with aircrafts painted in overall dark blue scheme. The rocket pylons are avaible in the same two color versions, as well the 154gal fuel tanks and the napalm filled tanks. So, if you are using an overall dark blue painted aircraft, change the "a" versions to "b" in the dp file. Be carefull to do not change the bombs and rockets versions because they use a different identification system, as explained in its own readme.

F4U1C Corsair: It was actually based on the F4U1D airframe. So, the F4U1C have the two pylons under the center wing section. There is also provisions for rockets installed, but only two can bee carried. The most distinctive feature of this version is the four 20mm cannon instead of six .50 machine guns. In the same way as the pylons, there are the "a" and "b" color version too. As I saw at least one picture of a "C" Corsair carrying a centerline fuel tank, I decided to put it in the dp file.

5. Frame Rates: the weapons are multires to ensure that they will not drop the frame rates in a very noticeable way.
