Cranbrook is located in the southeast corner of British Columbia on the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains. The area is know as the East Kootenays and is a popular tourist area for those liking the outdoors. In summer there is a multitude of places within an hour drive for such recreational activities as fishing, hiking, rafting and of course, lots of beautiful golf courses. In winter there is two excellent ski facilities close by with both downhill and cross-country skiing.

Cranbrook is serviced by Air Canada Jazz (formally AirBC) from Vancouver, and Central Mountain Air from Calgary Alberta. Talks are now underway to upgrade the airport to European standards by extending the runway from the present 6000' to 9000' and enlarging the terminal. Hopefully, should this happen, the airport could see larger charter aircraft such as B767's direct from Europe.

Some recommended aircraft are Dan Ports' Central Mountain Air B1900D at SurClaro.com (b1900d_cma.zip) or Air Canada's new Dash 8 Jazz paint scheme by Bob May (d81j_r.zip). If you prefer the older Canadian Regional carrier try the Dash 8 dh83crpw.zip.

Be sure to try the airport at night! Some excellent night textures.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Unzip Cranbrook into a temporary folder.
Known Issues
1. None that I have found. I have a PIII 650 with 256MB RAM and with all maxed out still get good frame rates.
