WHAT IS USITOOL:
The Ultimate Scenery Install Tool (USITool) is a brand new utility
made for Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2000/2002 (both standard and
professional edition). It is a stand-alone program that 100%
automatically install new scenery for Flight Simulator. USITool is
based on a common and very easy to use step-by-step wizard platform.
This program will be the easiest way to install new scenery for
FS2000/FS2002. A scenery-install-file (*.SIF) tells the program how to
install the scenery. USITool reads the commands in the SIF-file, and
guides you through some easy steps to a successfull installation.
USITool are not able to install old scenery that you have previously
downloaded unless you have got a SIF file for this scenery. If you
want to install older scenery, contact the scenery author, tell
him/she about USITool and ask him/she to make a SIF file. They will
most likely refer to where to download the SIF file or make you a
new one.
USITool v2.0 is an upgraded version of USITool v1.0. This new version
works almost the same way as the old one. The main differences are
complete compatibility with both FS2000 and FS2002.
New functions are:
* Complete compatibility with both FS2000 and FS2002
* Step 6 has got a new look. You have to choose on what version of
Flight Simulator you would like to install the scenery.
* Scenery developers are now able to make their very own self-
installing EXE file for their scenery (CompileSIF).
* New key added to the [General] section, "FSVersion="
* New key added to the [Area.X] section, "Required="
- Extract (unzip) compressed ZIP files
- Copies the scenery files to its correct folders
- Delete old scenery
- Update the "scenery.cfg" file
- Make self-installing EXE files
- Compatible with both FS2000 and FS2002
As a supplement to the release of USITool, I have also made about
20 SIF-files. These are SIF-files for the most popular freeware
scenery addons available. Unfortunately these SIF files are only for

I am very proud of this new feature in USITool v2.0. You are now able
to make your very own sef-installing EXE file for your scenery. Use
the new CompileSIF tool to melt all your files into one single EXE
file. This is the same technique used by the very successfully
NL2000v2 scenery. In order to make a EXE file you need to go to my

I have made this program myself with minimum advice from other people
than the beta tester team. I would really like to have a good
relationship with scenery developers in the FS community. If you have
