Additional thoughts about this panel by the author

This is not an exact copy of the panel used in the real PS-1, and
US-1 aircraft. For example...... most of us do not read and speak Japanese. So
this was changed.

There is a major lack of good turbo-prop engine instruments available for
us to use with our panels. To make a nice looking, and functional IFR panel. This was
a major consideration. For example......... NONE of the engine gauges are static. They
all correspond, and function in respect to the engine they represent.
This was a major problem. The only solution that I can find is to break out the
old, dusty C +++ programming manual and make new gauges. This sounds good, but, it is
harder than it sounds. Just ask Paul Golding next time you get a chance to talk to him.
He will probably laugh, or maybe just smile at you.
Don't misunderstand what I am saying. It can be done, but making the new gauge
is the easy part. The hard part is programming the logical functions, and making the gauge
work the way you want it to.
We need to remember this the next time that we down load a panel, with newly
implemented gauges......... there is a lot of work, and time involved. And very little
reward for the author, other than an occasional email from one of the users................. :-)

The real PS-1, and US-1 has a moving map at the bottom of the panel. This would not have
been hard to implement. But, I chose not to put the GPS there. I personally hate fixed GPS.
They are always...... too small...... too large......... and can not be moved. I like having the
ability to place the GPS where I want it to be on the panel. Expressly when I am making an
IFR approach.
So, for the authentic PS-1 and US-1 fans. Please remember to past the GPS over the
throttle console.

Last lee.............. please have fun with the panel.

Take care,
Mike
