THIS AIRCRAFT IS DESIGNED AND MADE FOR FS2000
I woundn't recommend it for FS98. You can use it in FS98, just don't fly at night because the textures will look funny.
FS2000 Philippine Airlines Airbus A330-300 Registration F-OHZS

Flight dynamics and paint by Peter Binamira
Original by Camil Valiquette
I modified some texture files from Kevin Sison's A330

Please feel free to e-mail me for some comments and suggestions at downhill@i-next.net or at dh_xbiker@hotmail.com.

Please remember that freeware designers don't get any money, they just want people to tell them some comments and suggestions
in order for them to improve their own work and make this flightsim hobby more enjoyable.

*The whole aircraft (including the .air and .mdl files) is totaly new and is completely designed for FS2000 (with the exception
of some textures that I modified to be FS2000 compatible) from the old FS98 version. but it should also work with FS98.

For users who use the FPDA Airbus altitude callouts by Andreas Jaros, you will miss hearing the last call
("20" "retard" "retard") because of the long legs of the Airbus A330. The a320 altcalls of the FPDA were not designed for it.
I'm now asking some of the gauge programers to make one for the Airbus A330/340 to make flying these jets more enjoyable and
realistic.

***DO NOT USE THIS AIRCRAFT AS YOUR STARTUP AIRCRAFT, FS2000 WILL CRASH!***
***START YOUR ENGINES WITH THE DEFAULT AIRCRAFT (737 OR 777) BEFORE SWITCHING TO THIS AIRCRAFT OTHERWISE MANY FUNNY THINGS WILL OCCUR!***

Performance:

Take off distance (Max T/O) = 8000 feet
Landing Distance = 7800 feet

Range: 5200 NM at FL 370

Cruising Speed: long range cruise: Mach 0.82 (I read this from an Airbus book)
short range cruise: Mach 0.84

Vne(never exceed speed): Mach 0.89

Fuel: 21500 Gallons

Fuel Consumption: (In pounds per hour lbs/hr.)
*** Varies with temperature

FL280 at 75% N1 7400x2
FL310 at 75% N1 6100x2
FL330 at 78% N1 6000x2
FL350 at 78% N1 5200x2
FL370 at 78% N1 4620x2

FLAP SETTINGS : (It is important that you know these settings)

Up, 1, 2, 3, Full- used with Roy Chaffin's FS2000 A330 panel available at www.roychaffin.com/rcs-panels.html

Take-off:

MAXTOW (full fuel) : Vrotate Flaps 1 = 165 KIAS (Trim needed before taking-off)

Cruise Climb:

2600-3200 fpm below 10000 at 250 KIAS (Do not exeed 250 KIAS below 10,000 ft)

after passing 10,000 ft, accelerate to 280-290 KIAS

Long-Range Short-Range
2200 fpm 10000-FL200 280 KIAS 290 KIAS
1800 fpm FL200-FL260 280 KIAS 290 KIAS
1500 fpm FL260-FL300 290 KIAS 300 KIAS
1200 fpm FL300-FL350 290 KIAS 300 KIAS
1000 fpm FL350-FL370 cruise at Mach 0.82 Mach 0.84

Decent: Try a clean descent with power idle (no use of spoilers and flaps)
The speed should stabilize around 280-290 KIAS

1600-2200 fpm at 290 KIAS from FL370 (1800 fpm normal)

decelerate to 250 KIAS before descending below 10,000 ft (still doing a clean descent, you may want to level of at 10,000 ft
first to reduce some speed. Note that the A330 is very hard to slow down when descending around 20,000 - 10,000 ft

Flap Limits:

Flap 1 : 240
Flap 2 : 220
Flap 3 : 190
Full : 170

Landing Approach Speed: (Fuel=80,000lbs.)
Vref=145 KIAS

FS2000 Installation:

1. unzip the files to a temporary directory

2. create a folder in your FS2000 aircraft directory and move all of the files there.

eg. c:/ProgramFiles/MicrosoftGames/FS2000/aircraft/PAL330pb2

3. create these following directories in PAL330pb2 and do the following:

model-move the model .cfg, .mdl and the .mdl.mpi file here
panel-move the panel .cfg file here
sound-move the sound .cfg file here
texture-move all of these files here:

333ei200.0af

333ei200.baf
333ei200.caf
333ei200.daf
