Scenery of the Airport SIMON BOLIVAR INTL. - MAIQUETIA - VENEZUELA
For FS2000 - March 2000

By David Maldonado (davimald684@cantv.net)

This scenery was created with Airport v2.10
Macros created with Visual Object Designer 3.0
and Mountain v2.0f
Requires textures Airport and VODTEX

This scenery is the result of many tests to adapt my scenery VENMIQ the Fs98
to the demanding Fs2000.

Adds to the scenery of Maiquetía by default of Fs2000, several things as:

Ramps for the airplanes
Administrative building of the Airport
Access ramps from the parking
Parking of vehicles
Hangar of Firemen
Control tower and heliport
Static airplanes of National and International Airlines
Taxi lines
Hills and precise topographical contour of the coast
Near buildings to the airport
and much more...

The airport of Maiquetia has 3 runways. The longer is 09L/27R and parallelly run the
09R/27L. Other but smaller is the 08/26 employee for flights domestic and small airplanes.

For bigger information of the deapertures and normalized arrivals (SID/STAR) of Maiquetia
airport (and other airports of Venezuela), visit the page

http://www.satcosa.com.br/svzm/contenido.htm of Maiquetia Center Control

The position of the Airport is N10°36'12 W066°,59'32, elevation of 232 ft.
The frequencies of the airport are:

RWY ILS
09L 110.10

ATIS 124.40
VOR 114.80
NDB 292

How to install it:
-----------------
The file SVMIFS2K.zip contains the following files:

File_id.diz - > Brief description of the scenery
Readme.txt - > This file
Leeme.txt - > This file in Spanish
SVMIFS2K.gif - > Image of the Airport
Scenery.zip - > SVMIFS2K.bgl - scenery of Maiquetía
ILSVEN2K.bgl - Signal ILS for the airports of Maracaibo,
Margarita, Barcelona and Barquisimeto that for some
strange reason didn't come with the fs2000
Texture.zip - > It contains the necessary textures of the scenery
Tex_Avi.zip - > It contains the texture of the static airplanes

1.- Decompress the file SVMIFS2K.zip inside some temporary directory.

2.- Create a new sub-directory where you want called VENEZUELA and inside
of it create two sub-directory called SCENERY and TEXTURE.

e.g. C:\VENEZUELA
\SCENERY
\TEXTURE

3.- Decompress the contained files in scenery.zip (SVMIFS2K.bgl and ILSVEN2K.bgl)
inside the sub-directory SCENERY that you have created newly.

4.- Decompress the contained files in texture.zip (*.pat, *.*af, *.r8) in the
sub-directory TEXTURE that you have created newly.

5.- Decompress the contained files in text_avi.zip (*.*af) in the main sub-directory
TEXTURE of FS2000

IF THIS USING WINZIP, THEN SIMPLY EXTRACTS THE FILES INSIDE OF THOSE
DIRECTORY CORRECT.

6.- Start Flight Simulator 2000, go to menu World / Scenery Library.. and there press
"Add Area". In the dialogue box "Select Scenery Directory" search in your hard disk
the directory of VENEZUELA that you have created. When gets it the box of "Scenery
Area Title" will be activated, place the name of the area there (ejem. VENEZUELA)
and then press "OK". Press the "check mark" and that's all !!.

The quantity of static airplanes depends on configuration of Options/Settings/Display/
Image Quality/Scenery Complexity/Normal - > few airplanes
/Dense - > more airplanes
