FS9 and FSX 2D panel for Piper PA-28 family with fixed gear (Cherokee, Warrior, ...) .
Based on the aircrafts designed by Rien Cornelissen.
All xml gauges, some especially built for this aircraft, some directly on the panel bitmap.

Design from a photograph by Stefan K. Pugatch with his kind authorization. See also Airliners.net.

=========================================================================================

Clock is just an MS DC3 original model with lighting and Altimeter is a modified MS R22.

Radios : since no stanby frequencies provided please verify the following declaration in the aircraft.cfg file :

[Radios] // Radio Type = availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1 = 1
Com.1 = 1, 0
Com.2 = 0, 0
Nav.1 = 1, 0, 0
Nav.2 = 0, 0, 0
Adf.1 = 1
Transponder.1 = 1
Marker.1 = 0

About the AP :

1. I'm not sure it's working like the real thing ... All info would be welcome ; - ))
2. Left switch will turn ON (OFF)
capture current altitude
block the wing leveler
Then right switch will capture current heading - heading bug modified with the round button

3. While changing of aircraft or of situation "in flight" the AP data can still be recorded so it can be necessary to "reset" the AP (just double-click ON/OFF switch).

Sorry for the "flaps indicator" - I couldn't find how is the real one.

==========================================================================================

Installation :

Unzip the files in a temporary file (you will erase it when everything OK) and copy them as followed :

The folder "Panel.FP28F" must be in the directory X:\FS ...\...\Airplanes or aircraft\Choosenairplane

The gauges file "FP_PA28F.cab" to be in the general "Gauges" folder or - better - in the hereabove folder - as it is, don't unzip it.

To declare the panel in the "aircraft.cfg" file of the "Choosenairplane" add the following text below the group [fltsim.x] if x was the last declaration :

[fltsim.x+1]
title=as you want but to be recognized easily
sim= as found in [fltsim.x]
model= copy from [fltsim.x] or let it blank
panel=FP28F
sound= copy from [fltsim.x] or let it blank
texture= copy from [fltsim.x] or let it blank
...
ui_variation=any personnal identification [different of other/default to let the avatar be seen in the catalog !]
...
all others items = copy from [fltsim.x] or let it blank or modify as you can recognize all info.

If you don't like the moving yokes then replace the panel.cfg file by "panel_Fixed.cfg" and rename this last one as "panel.cfg".

About the VC panel : if you want to use it, copy the several elements [Vcockpit0i] from the original panel.cfg into the new following the list of the 2D windows. And join the gauge cab file to this folder.

License :

As usual: enjoy it, copy it, give it, speak about it but don't make money with it !

Of course I would be happy if you are kind enough or just honest to inform me if you redistribute it - the more if you modify it.

If any trouble, complain or idea in your mind about this work - especially about the working of the gauges in comparison with the real instruments - please report it to : pierre.fasseaux@skynet.be
