FSX and FS2004 Boeing 247 and 247D

By Jens B. Kristensen 2006-2007. Flight dynamics by FSAviator.

The Boeing 247 was a trendsetter in the early 1930’s. It was the first airliner to have an all-metal, stressed-skin, low-drag airframe and a retractable landing gear. Even when the bigger and better DC-2 and DC-3 arrived, the 247’s continued to give excellent service over the next 20 years.

For more details, see the pdf document located in the \documentation folder. During installation, you have the option of viewing (and printing) it.

Version 2.0 for FSX and FS2004. New in this release: I've added the original 247 with fixed-pitch propellers, the 247D / 247E with modern windscreen and the 247D racer flown by Roscoe Turner in the 1934 'MacRobertson' England-Australia race

The panel includes gauges by Glenn Duncan, among them the spectacular Manifold Pressure gauge right in front of the pilot. Converted to XML, and used with permission, thanks!

Other gauges are default FS2004, some of them slightly modified by Jens B. Kristensen. The ILS gauge contains XML code by Saviero Maurri. The OBS selector is by Hans-Joerg Naegele.

This plane was made with FSDS 3.0. It is freeware and must stay that way.

Good luck!
