Brief airport reference:

The Mar del Plata International Airport "Brigadier Bartolomé de la Colina" is the most
important airport of the coast of Buenos Aires province. Located at the north of the city,
it receives numerous commercial flights during summer season, both regular airliners
and charter flights.
In the '90s the airport received practically a regular flight per hour. Nowadays, after
2001 crisis, most of the airport activity is carried out by Aerolíneas Argentinas and Austral,
some commercial flights and the students of the Aeroclub Mar del Plata (which carry out
flying exercises in the airport).

The airport was modified several times, according to the increasing needs. In 1978, important
football teams from around the world arrived to participate in the 1978 Argentina World Cup.
In 1994 it was the entrance door for the Panamerican Games and in 2004 the airport received,
among others, the Air Force One for the Summit of the Americas.

In the southern limit of the airport, the Argentine Air Force base is located, which
periodically makes training practices (based in the airport).

Scenery information:

This scenery includes a photoreal representation of the airport and near environs. In other
words, it respects physical disposition and visual appearance of each sector in relation
with the real airport. The terminal building, the Argentine Air Force hangar and the main
apron represent the central block of the project. The surrounding buildings and facilities
were then incorporated, such as car parking, cargo deposit and fuel plant, among others.

Parallelly and trying to achieve a greater similarity with the real world, both runway ends
were represented, whose surfaces are of concrete (in case of runway 13, this concrete
surface extends up to taxiway A).

Special thanks:

> To Leonardo Deserio, who supported me with great images of the airport which helped me
with the design of the airport and who also supported me with important airport
information and characteristics that I had to take into account.
> To Agustín Issín, who has also provided me with many pictures of the airport, vital for
the correct location of the different buildings, as well as obtaining textures and visual
references of it.
> To Adrián Fernández Gómez, who advised me new FS2004 design techniques with
a lot of patience.
> To Daniel Mauricio Bergés, who constantly adviced me and who allows me to have his website
in order to publish this scenery.
> To Edgardo Giménez Mazó, that, thanks to his site AeropuertosArg.com.ar, I was
able to know even more about the airport, as well as to obtain pictures of it.
> To Arno Gerretsen, creator of useful design tools for FS2004 and useful tutorials.
> To Lee Swordy, AFCAD 2.21 creator, and to gmax creators. Without these software, nothing
could have been possible.
