This is one of UPS's seven "Quick Change" Pax charter planes. These planes fly freight on the weekdays, and then haul pax to exotic places on the weekend. So, Monday it might be in really cold Buffalo, and Saturday be in sunny Nassau! Quite a unique plane, espically with a major freight airline hauling passengers.
UPS's 727-100's were updated by Dee Howard of San Antionio, Tx with RR Tay 651-54 engines with 15,400lbs of thrust. The modifications also included an updated cockpit with 4 tube EFIS, Apollo GNS systems, and a Heads-Up Guidence Display. These airplanes exceed Stage III Noise requirements.
I would like to thank Gary Carlson for all the help and for the mods, if it werent for him this plane would just reside on my hard drive. Maybe for a short time he has the best 727's on the net!
