Groningen Airport Eelde(EHGG)FOR FS2004
These projects started out by me trying to just add taxi signs to airports that I fly into using FS2002 and as you all are aware there are not many taxiway sign addons available but now as I continue to learn I find myself spending more time tinkering with scenery than flying ah but its all fun stuff.
Ah well Heathrow is now on the back burner. Request for Dutch Airports, Rotterdam(EHRD) EHEH, Lelystad EHLE and the current Project EHGG is being done. I can apply some of the tech-no-babble that I acquire along the way to Rotterdam and the others. Although Eelde is a small airport it has many buildings in a small area and required a lot of work in rendering, scale, location and other aspects of scenery building presenting yet again a whole new bunch of challenges.
As usual I am a few years behind the sim release cycle having just got FS2004 and so this is the second project for FS2004 scenery, Rotterdam being the first. All previous scenery addons were for FS2002 and moving forward the releases will be for FS2004.
As I have found with all other projects so far, the default layout is incorrect and to my surprise FS2004 is no different (as it becomes a compromise between a total rebuild or working with the default model) and to correct this would have meant a total rebuild of the airport and that is exactly what I did with no exceptions everything is new. I had to make 99% of all the macros for this project, takes time as the learning curve continues, well you get the idea. The end result is hopefully something you will find useful. Oh and I also added taxiways that are not there in real world simply to ensure a smooth flow of AI traffic. As you all must know that total control of AI traffic is not possible in FS at the moment.
As this is new ground for me I will include my sim settings so that if you encounter any problems please check the settings picture first and maybe it might help. My system is a very low end by todays standards but at least I do not have any pauses or stuttering which for me is a bonus. Although my frame rates are considered low it still remains smooth for me at these settings.

There are a few things that I would like to be done differently but it takes a while to learn how to accomplish certain elements of scenery design (limitations of my knowledge in this area) and it is interesting to note just how much I have learned so far.
Any feedback or bug reports on these projects are most welcome or any major airport you think that needs to be done. Please remember that this is a one-man operation so it takes a little time to address all your emails thank you.

Install:
Make a new folder in your FS2004 addons section
and unzip the files as described below.
\Flight Simulator 9\
\ADDON Scenery\
\Eelde
\Scenery <---copy bgl files here **NOTE** Place the AFCAD bgl file in here as well
\Texture <.........copy texture files here
After you have done this start flight sim, go to scenery library and add the Eelde area. Restart flight sim and you are set.
If you have a different way of installing scenery files then by all means use that method.
