Rotterdam Airport(EHRD)FOR FS2002
These projects started out by me trying to just add taxi signs to airports that I fly into using FS2002 and as you all are aware there are not many taxiway sign addons available but now as I continue to learn I find myself spending more time tinkering with scenery than flying ah but its all fun stuff.
Ah well Heathrow is now on the back burner. Request for Rotterdam(EHRD) from Harry jumped in front. I can apply some of the tech-no-babble that I acquire along the way to Rotterdam, which is a small airport, but presents a whole new bunch of challenges.
Rotterdam is the seventh scenery addon, KJFK, Innsbruck(LOWI), Gatwick(EGKK) and Stuttgart(EDDS), Dulles(KIAD) and Leeds Bradford (EGNM) are the others. As usual the default scenery looked dark and gloomy so I added a bit here and a bit there.
I have no way of testing these packages for FS2004 so cannot say if the work in that sim.
As I have found with all other projects so far, the default layout is incorrect (as it becomes a compromise between a total rebuild or working with the default model) and to correct this would have meant a total rebuild of the airport and that is exactly what I did with no exceptions everything is new. I had to make 99% of all the macros for this project, takes time as the learning curve continues, well you get the idea. The end result is hopefully something you will find useful. Oh and I also added taxiways that are not there in real world simply to ensure a smooth flow of AI traffic. As you all must know that total control of AI traffic is not possible in FS at the moment.
There are a few things that I would like to be done differently but it takes a while to learn how to accomplish certain elements of scenery design (limitations of my knowledge in this area) and it is interesting to note just how much I have learned so far.
Any feedback or bug reports on these projects are most welcome or any major airport you think that needs to be done.

These default textures are in your main fs textures folder as well.
You will also need the nova textures available on www.SurClaro or www.SurClaro.com
As well as trees courtesy Dai Griffiths, Bill Dick, and Robert Palmer, The tree textures are also included in trees.zip. To avoid confusion please the tree textures in the texture folder of Rotterdam. (see install instructions below)

- Bright ramp areas ** (I got tired of pitch black aprons and so made a few of them to resemble diffused lighted aprons but I am still working to improve this feature. I have not seen this on other scenery designs but I am sure there are).

- In fact the Entire Airport is New!
- New Taxiways Signs, Runway signs and ctr line lights
- Added Taxiways
- Rebuilt all other taxiways and Runway 06/24
- *** NOTE ** AFCAD file is provided that reflects changes
- to the airport and is needed for proper AI movement into and out of the field.
- If you do not use the AFCAD file provided you will have some strange effects.
Install:
Make a new folder in your FS2002 addons section
and unzip the files as described below.
FS2002\
\ADDON Scenery\
\Rotterdam
\Scenery <---------copy bgl files here
\Texture <.........copy texture files here
as well as all tree textures
After you have done this start flight sim, go to scenery libary and
add the Rotterdam area. Restart flight sim and you are set.
If you have a different way of installing scenery files then by all means use that method.
To install the AFCAD files which are in the AFCAD.zip file (EGNM.TXT) you will need Lee Sowrdys excellent program
