FS2002 Aircraft F-15 Eagle 57th FS USAF

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This file is best read in Notepad with wordwrap turned on.

The plane is a Boeing(McDonnell-Douglas) F-15C Eagle AF80035 of the 57th FS, 35TH Wing, ACC
USAF from NAS Keflavik, Iceland (1994).
This is a Gmax model for FS2002. Aircraft by Kimitaka Nishida. Repaint by Paul Barry.

History
-------
After downloading and flying the excellent F-15J by Kimitaka Nishida, I thought that I would create some new unit textures. I have based my repaint on photographs that I took in 1994.
I like "good visuals" so I have added flame and afterburner effects to the aircraft (thanks
to Peter Davies and JR for their work).

I have used and tested the plane in FS2002 pro. I expect it to work in FS2002 std also.

Installation
------------

For automatic installation, unzip to your main FS2002 directory.

To manually install (PREFERABLE), unzip first to a temporary directory. Then copy the folder F-15cIS
(found in the aircraft directory) to your main aircraft directory in FS2002.
If you also want the flame and afterburner effects, then copy the contents of the effects folder into your main FS2002 effects folder.
A further option is to hear a boom when the afterburners are lit. For this effect, copy the contents of the SOUND folder to your main FS2002 sound folder.

Aircraft panel and sound are aliased to the FS Learjet, so you will ideally need to download an F15 panel and sound. I use the Paul Schwerdtfeger panel "f15pn2k2.zip". For sound I use Mike Hambly's F16 sound "ba f16.zip" (both aircraft use the P&W F100 engine).

Now just load up FS and fly!

For maximum effects press the letter I key for wing contrails and for smoke above a certain height. Press the letters L and or O to see the flame and afterburner effects.

Credits
--------

Many thanks to Kimitaka Nishida for his fantastic F-15. Also thanks to him for showing me how to paint the canopy seals. Thanks to Peter Davies for allowing me to use his Su-27
files for the flame and afterburner effects. Thanks also to JR for his kind support.
I think that the sound files are from CFS2-so thanks!
My work is limited to the repaint and the half day I spent positioning the flame and afterburner effects on the F15!
