The Swiss Mountain's Flyers are proud to present :

Swiss Mountain Airfields
For FS2000

Männlichen Airfield v.1.0

By Herve Forclaz

Requirements :

-P2/400
-A nice graphic card
-Microsoft FS2000

Installation :

1. Unzip the files in FS2000 folder. Every file goes in the right folder.

2. You have now a new Scenery folder called "Swiss Mountain Airfields" in your Fs2000 main Scenery folder.

3. Then go to FS2000, and you'll find to new flight called "Männlichen Summer departure" and "Männlichen Landing". The default plane is the Cessna 182s. But it's a good idea to use a Piper super Cub or a Maule... BEFORE TO FLY :

4. Go to the SCENERY LIBRARY, go to "Add Area" and find the folder "Swiss moutain airfields" in fs2000\Scenery\. Name it "Swiss Moutain Airfields" and click "Ok". Then quit Fs2000 and reload (it's necessary ! to make the changes to the library).

Männlichen : Where is it???

It's a small mountain airfield, used normally in winter. But you can fly ther in summer too !
And it's not easy at all !!!

It's located near interlaken, just in front of the well-known mountains "Jungfrau" and "Eiger". Other places of interest : Ski-Race of the Lauberhorn, the towns Wengen, Grindelwald.

To go there, it's better to fly with a bush plane like a Piper Cub or a Maule. Try the excellent Piper Cub at www.fsadventure.com !

Runway :

It is not flat, and you have to take off using rwy 32. For landing, use the rwy 14. Be careful to the slope and the trees!

The Scenery :

Some cows, some chalets and cabins, and a lot of trees ! There is even, if you find it, a barbecue somewhere in the woods !!!

Requirements :

I think the framerate of FS2k is very low with less than a PII/400. I recommend a solid graphic card, such a Nvidia tnt2.

Distribution :

This product is freeware, but cannot be distribued without my written permission. Some elements of this Scenery were taken from the wonderful "NORWAY 98" Scenery, and from other freeware authors. Thanks to the authors and consider this little work as a tribute to these great creators !
