CPH-BKK.zip
===========
This zip file contains an example of the RODOS flight planning DRC (Dynamic Route Construction) system used by SAS (Scandinavian Airlines System). The constructed optimal flight route (fuel usage) for flight SK 973 from EKCH/ Copenhagen to VTBD/ Bangkok Intl on 19 AUG 00 is presented on a map and in a tabular form with chosen airways, segments, flight levels, fuel etc.

About the RODOS DRC system.
===========================
The DRC system is designed to provide a powerful tool for optimal flight route construction. You store a constructed route as a SPAID in the RODOS flight planning system, and then proceed using RODOS for producing your operational flight plan.

Routes constructed by DRC are generated and optimized using highly efficient methods applied on very large amounts of data. Both static (changes rarely) and dynamic (changes frequently) data are handled. The static data include navigation data (airways, FIR, etc.), aircraft performance, SRS rules, etc.; and the dynamic data include wind forecasts, CRAMs and NOTAMs. Wind forecasts and CRAMs are automatically loaded into DRC, as they become available. SAS Flight Support continuously updates the DRC data to make sure your results are as good as possible.

Installation of files.
======================
Unzip the files to a directory of your choice, e.g. c:\sasfss
Unzip the included archive "ekch-vtbd_files" to a subdirectory with the same name, e.g.
c:\sasfss\ekch-vtbd_files
Open the ekch-vtbd.htm document with your web browser.

Additional examples of the RODOS DRC system will be found on the FSS project home page:
