Flight Sim 2002
Beechcraft Baron 58

Repaint of the default Baron - Purple/Yellow/Black & White
by Tony Radmilovich
Freeware

*************************************************************************************

This repaint of the default Baron is in custom colors. This version is a bit racier than the average Barom and not for the shy!

Textures are 16 bit with alpha reflective channels and have no significant hit on frame rates.

I stongly recommend downloading the revised Baron .air and .cfg files by Touradg Morassaei (bb58rd.zip) from FS.Com. This will greatly improve the Baron's flight dynamics.

INSTALLATION:

This package contains only the basic repaint .bmp's, so you'll need to do a little fiddling with your Baron folder.
1) Open your FS2002/aircraft/beech_baron_58 folder and make a backup of the aircraft.cfg file.
2) Copy the following lines and paste them after the last aircraft description with [fltsim.x] representing the next sequential number.

description=With the wonderful control harmony that is the hallmark of the Bonanza line, the Beech Baron 58 is considered a classic light twin. The Baron 58 is the spiffed-up version of a time-tested favorite, made more modern by its new Continental Special engines. The Baron combines the attractiveness of Beechcraft design with the reliability of twin engines, resulting in a gorgeous workhorse of an aircraft.

3) Re-save the aircraft.cfg file

4) Open the /texture folder and copy the files: "beech_baron_58_d.bmp", "damage.bmp", "prop_Baron.bmp". Paste these files in each of the two texture folders within this archive.

5) Past the folder "Texture.wood1" into the Beech_Baron_58 folder.

6) Start FS2002 and open "Select Aircraft". Your new additions will be found under the Beechcraft/Baron 58 heading.

Happy flying.
