Spring/Summer 2005 Flight Schedules for FlyBe

The file "Flighplan_FlyBe.txt" started out as a simple exercise to create the FlyBe scheduled flights to and from Leeds Bradford Airport. One thing led to another and the file now contains, almost in its entirety, the whole Spring/Summer flight schedule for FlyBe based on the flight plans obtained from their internet site during the first week of April 2005. Details of the type of aircraft flying each leg are based on information obtained from none FlyBe sources and in most cases it is reasonably accurate. The vast majority of scheduled flights are included and it is felt that the file "Flighplan_FlyBe.txt" is over 95% accurate.

"Flighplan_FlyBe.txt" also includes three routes flown to New York Newark under a Code Sharing arrangement with Continental Airlines. The flight numbers for these flights are those used by FlyBe. While researching the schedules it was identified that the FlyBe flights from Edinburgh to London City are undertaken under a Code sharing arrangement with ScotAirways. Again, for completeness the legs flown by ScotAirways Donier 382s are also included. In fact the complete set of ScotAirways scheduled fight plans have been included. Those flown under the Code sharing arrangements use FlyBe flight numbers while the remainder use ScotAirways own.

If the inclusion of the Continental and ScotAirways schedules causes a conflict with any existing AI flight plans that you may have installed the removal of all legs flown by AC#1 and AC#5 through AC#8 will remove the respective schedules.

"Flighplan_FlyBe.txt" was compiled using the MRAI FlightPlans Compiler.

All of the aircraft used can, with one exception, be downloaded from the ProjectAI web site at www.projectai.com. A search on "Continental", "FlyBe" and "ScotAirways" will locate the appropriate files. In particular the files:

Texture.BEE-FlyBe_Jersey European Airways NC RJ85 JERSEY.zip
Texture.BEE-FlyBe_Jersey European Airways G-BTUY Hybrid B462 RJ85 JERSEY.zip

Have been used to represent the BAe 146-200 (AC#3) and Bae 146-300 (AC#4) respectively (However, both texture files use the ProjectAI Bae 146-200 model).

The file:

Texture.BEE-FlyBe_Jersey European Airways DH8D JERSEY 3.zip

Has been used to represent the De Havilland DH-8-400 (AC#2)

Select any Continental Boeing 757-200 that takes your fancy to represent AC#1, and any one or more of the repaints of the ScotAirways Dornier 328s to represent AC#5 through AC#8.

The aircraft used to represent FlyBe's Boeing 737-300 (AC#9) can be found in the file "flyb73.zip" downloaded from SurClaro

As usual the Flighplans, Airports and Aircraft "txt" files will need to be installed using Lee Swordy's Traffic Tools.

To install in FS2004

Copy the enclosed Flighplans, Airports and Aircraft "txt" files into the same folder as Traffic Tools and run the program.

To install in FS2002

Assuming that you have already decompiled the traffic.bgl file. Copy the contents of the FlyBe Flightplan "txt" file into to your decompiled flightplan.txt file in your Traffic Tools Folder. Do the same for the respective Aircraft "txt" files. Remember to renumber the aircraft as appropriate. Then run Traffic Tools. If you receive an error messages stating that an airport was not found copy the offending airport from the FlyBe airport "txt" file into your Airport.txt file.

Enjoy
