Santa Barbara Mission in California for Flight Simulator 2004.

Designed with Airport Version 3.0 build 192, FS Designer Pro V2, PaintShopPro V7,and Lago FS Enhancer for 2004. Thank you for trying my scenery, hope you enjoy it.

Hopefully, this is the first of a series of California Missions. Having been to all 22,(yes, I know there are only 21, but San Luis Rey actually has two locations) I thought this would make a good flight sim trip.

Suggested installation:

Note: You will need Garrish Gray's Tree library. Without this add-on, you will see lots of boxes around the Mission where trees should be. (In fact, you might even get a crash-to-desktop if the library object file is not found - not sure.) This file is available on SurClaro (trees_v3.zip).

Step 1: Using winzip, just extract, using folder names, to the folder where you put
your add-on scenery. Example: c:\FS2004\SCENERY

Step 2: If you do not have the Lago FS Enhancer, skip to step 3, otherwise move:

SantaBarbara.SC to the FS2004\Lago\Common\Sounds directory
SantaBarbara.OSC to the FS2004\Lago\Common\Tracks directory
SantaBarbara.SE2 to the FS2004\Lago\Fse\Data directory

Note: The above three files can be deleted if you do not have Lago FS Enhancer.

Step 3: Start FS2004. If you skip the start up menu, you will need to "End Flight" to
get to the menu page.

Step 4: Select "Settings" (if not already selected) and then "Scenery Library".

Click the "Add Area" button and Browse to the CaliforniaMissions directory.

The "Scenery Area Title" should already be filled in to CaliforniaMissions.

Click "OK".

Step 5: Exit to the desktop and restart the Flight Simulator.

Finding the Mission.

The "real" way is to take off from RWY 7 at Santa Barbara Muni (KSBA) and make a slight left turn to 070, and in 4.5 miles you will pass right over the mission.

Or, you can go to the "Search Add-on Scenery" button on the "Go To Airport" page and select "Santa Barbara" from scenery area. This puts you on the ground in front of the mission.
