FS2004 Beech Baron Panel

By Dean Peterson Dec 2004

As a pilot myself I always enjoy the panels that have most everything on one screen. I feel more like I'm really flying when I don't have to switch from screen to screen. I run this at 1024x768 on Windows XP.

There are "hotspots" on the screen for enlarging the GPS, opening the engine controls and the yokes. It is easier and faster than the little icons. (See the diagrams)

Installation

Place the gauges in the FS2004 gauge folder. You may overwrite or not, I did not modify any except the "Dean_Baron" gauge. You can also just put them in the panel.dean folder.

Place the panel file in the Baron aircraft folder. Change the aircraft.cfg file to add another choice as follows:

[fltsim.1]
title=Beech Baron 58 1
sim=Beech_Baron_58
model=
panel=dean
sound=
texture=
kb_checklists=Beech_Baron_58_check
kb_reference=Beech_Baron_58_ref
atc_id=N058BE
ui_manufacturer=Beechcraft
ui_type="Baron 58"
ui_variation=Deans Panel
description="With the wonderful control harmony that is the hallmark of the Bonanza line, the Beech Baron 58 is considered a classic light twin. The Baron 58 is the spiffed-up version of a time-tested favorite, made more modern by its new Continental Special engines. The Baron combines the attractiveness of Beechcraft design with the reliability of twin engines, resulting in a gorgeous workhorse of an aircraft."

If you have already added other panels, you would change the number in [fltsim.1] and the title line to the appropriate next number.

If you don't like it, delete the panel and delete that section of the cfg file.

Thanks to all the gauge creators. I did not make any, I just repainted some of the originals to work with this bitmap.

Hope you enjoy it.
