GENERAL:
********

This is my first version of the B-24J panel, it is as accurate as I could get
using the available instruments I had to hand. I wanted it to be useable in IFR conditions,
also some of the real gauges used on the aircraft are as yet unavailable. The general
arrangement is fairly precise and was based on a photograph of the real thing. If you have any comments please e-mail me as I am still pretty new at this, (See list at bottom of this page for other panels and FS98 files I have made). I hope you enjoy this panel as much as I have enjoyed making it and test flying it. Please read the credits because this panel wouldn't be available without the work and the dedication of many other people that design and make the the wonderful variety of gauges.

This Panel is dedicated to all those who flew Liberator's during WWII.

CREDITS:

Thanks to Michel Polski for his PANMAKE V.2.5.3 (Shareware), an excelent program to easily
make panels for FS98, the first 100 sesions are free, after this you have to register it.
Thanks a lot to Eric Ernst (Gauges), who makes the best civil panels available on the net,
Chuck Dome (Who makes some of the best gauges and utilities), Phil Perrot (inspiration), who makes the best military panels on the net. David Durst (Gauges) and the VIP group for their excellent products that were also an inspiration for me to make my own panels. Please do not feel offended if I don't mention you here, as there are so many people who indirectly helped me to do this. I don't know all of you but you know who you are. This panel was a creation of all posted here and the others that don't appear. Thanks to all of you.

INSTALLATION:
************

You MUST use the free Microsoft Converter for FS98 becouse this panel requires it.

1.- Unzip the gauges.zip files into your FS98 gauges directory. I decided to leave THE ORIGINAL
GAUGE NAMES OF THE MAjOR GAUGES IN THE ZIP FILE, as I didn,t know all the people who had designed them, so if you see one of your gauges please e-mail me, I apologise in advance for not contacting all those whom I do not mention in the thank you's above.

2.- In FS98 aircraft subdirectory FSFCONV, make a folder called
B-24J where 'B-24J' is the panel identifier. Put the bmp's and panel.cfg there.
Then edit the panel.cfg file of your B-24J aircraft (don't edit the cfg-file in the panel
package) and type:

alias=FSFSConv\B-24J

Or you can simply put the .bmp files and panel.cfg right into the panelfolder of your preferred B-24J aircraft.

This panel works in any resolution, though I have been able to test the panel in 3dFx using a Matrox M3d card, I do not know if it will work with any other type of 3d accelerator.
It was in fact made for 1280x768 but should be OK for 800x600

There are two invisible buttons used to operate the nav and autopilot panels, one is situated just to the right of the VSI above the light seitches, the other is just above the flap meter.
