THIS PACKAGE IS...

- 3 NEW LIVERIES I MADE TO GO WITH MY 2 PREVIOUS VERSIONS (they were aircrafts's 170 & 172) for Mike Stone's C-17 (the best freeware c-17 with my few tweaks) These paints are aircrafts 98-49, 02-1104, and 03-3123. If you are making a c-17 collection these are great additions. *Note aircraft 98-49 is "The Spirit of Rhein-Main" named after the air force base in Germany after it was closed last year. 02-1104 is just the aircraft i did a trip to Elmendorf AFB, Alaska in, and 03-3123 is one of McChord's newest C-17s.

- NEW AIRCRAFT.CFG (to reposition some things) Im my previous versions i redid some of the interior cargo bay adding a loadmasters chair and lavatory and stuff, and now on the outside i repositioned the Rudder In-Trail light from the top/back of the T-Tail down to the base of the rudder how it is in real. Also i added high-intensity strobes to the front wingtips (they were only on the rear wingtips), and finally moved the red anti-collision light affect on top the T-Tail over the light assembly in the model so it looks better (it was flashing about 3 feet behind the aircraft model's light)

Installation
------------

ok i hope this isnt too tricky for anybody...

for some reason i cant upload all the bitmaps in the texture files i dont know why it just wont let me. but for some reason when i just use the ones that need to be updated for the liveries it works fine so here is how you will have to install...

1. Open up the original c17 folder for the aircraft. You should have either texture.170 or texture.172 or if you were really smart combined them and have both textures in one folder and changed the aircraft.cfg yourself.

2. Open up the texture folder (either one)

3. Go to edit, "Select All" (now all the bitmaps are highlighted)

4. All but 2 bitmaps need to be copied so now hold CTRL on your keyboard and left click FUSLG_T.BMP and TAIL_T.BMP to deselect those 2 files. Now you should have all the bitmaps highlighted except those two.

5. Now right click and select "COPY" to copy all those bitmaps minus the 2 that arent supposed to be copied.

6. Now in my new files you have downloaded left click and hold CTRL to select the 3 texture files and new aircraft.cfg

7. Drag and drop those into the c17 folder in your Aircraft folder and select overwrite when it asks about overwriting the aircraft.cfg

8. Now for the tricky part i guess if anyone doesnt understand. you should still have those bitmaps copied to your clipboard so that the next time you hit PASTE it puts those files in a folder. Well open up each individual texture folders you just downloaded (49,1104,3123) and PASTE all those bitmaps into each folder.

9. End result, you should have 4 (or 5) texture folders and when you open up each one they should have the same number of bitmaps. You should not have to click overwrite anything when you copied those bitmaps into the new texture folders.

10. hopefully everyone understood this and if you did it actually made you a smaller download since those copied bitmaps you did are the same for every aircraft and you already had them.

NOW YOU SHOULD MCCHORD AIR FORCE BASE'S C-17S

00-170 "Spirit of the Air Force"
00-172 "Spirit of the Cascades"
98-49 "Spirit of Rhein_main"
02-1104 -aircraft i flew to alaska in
03-3123 -one of the newest aircrafts here at McChord

PS- IF ANYONE IS IN THE AIR FORCE AND KNOW WHO I AM TALKING ABOUT WHEN I SAY "QUALITY ASSURANCE", I HAVE A SPECIAL LIVERY I MADE FOR THEM THATS QUITE AMUSING AND IF YOU WANT IT JUST EMAIL ME AND I WILL SEND IT TO YOU WITH YOUR BASE'S NAME ON IT FOR YOUR QA. Its a good one to hang at your office or shop or wherever on base
