Do you remember the old Airfix 1/72 scale model, with the picture on the box cover showing a red nosed DH-114 Heron taking off from a SHELL oil field?
When I saw Dee Waldron's great little Flight Sim Heron, I just had to repaint that plane in the Aero Shell livery.
(see added picture of the mentioned box cover)
This is a great AI plane to have flying around in "oil rich" areas like Venezuela, Borneo, Malaysia. I am talking about the nineteen fifties and sixties, when these planes were often used to fly personnel to remote oil fields.


INSTALLATION


1. Unzip Heron_Shell.ZIP to a temporary folder.

2. From the temporary folder, move the 'texture.shell' folder to your Flight Simulator /AIRCRAFT/ 'DH114b' folder.

3. Back up the corresponding 'AIRCRAFT.CFG' file (should you wish) and open the original with a text editor.

Add the following to your DH-114-2B aircraft.cfg file and change the XX [fltsim.xx] to the next number in sequence.
