BACKGROUND:
And thus the earth cracked, the sky rumbled, and from the collective bowels of Erick Cantu and Aled Hughes (Who doesn't work for SGA but begged to paint SAS), with a 'push' (this means really hard shove in my case) from someone who needed an MD90 for her VA, came the genesis of the SGA MD-90-30. The aircraft was made in a couple days, actually, but we never really finished it until recently, when we found it would be a good idea to release it. So I typed this readme, sent out a beta to make sure the zip worked, and uploaded it to SurClaro.
And here is where your story begins...
INSTALLATION:
Drop it in your FS2002/2004 aircraft folder. IF YOU WANT PILOT TEXTURES, COPY MD83_T.BMP FROM THE DEFAULT MD83 TO THE FS2002/4 TEXTURE FOLDER. From there it's ready to go.
LEGAL:
This aircraft is freeware. It may not be uploaded to any site which requires pay for use. WE HOLD THE RIGHTS TO OUR WORK AND WILL ENFORCE THEM BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. Penalties include the process of strapping offender to a V2500 engine fan and giving it a quick runup...mwa-hahahahaha!
SOUNDS:
I think Achim Buerger has a decent A320 set out there. That should work.
REPAINTING:
Is not only allowed but encouraged. In the BLANK folder is the set of blank textures used by myself...
Stipulations are:
-It must be kept free
-You must credit SGA as the original authors
And please don't flood us with repaint permission requests - it's very 'hands-off'. Do as you please. We're not everyone else here - we give you SOME freedom to work with. Also, don't bother Aled with technical support issues not related to the SAS paint - the SAS livery is the extent of his responsibility on this project.
MISCELLANEOUS:
To operate the retractable landing lights you must assign a key for tailhook.
