~ DISCRIPTION - COMMENTS - LOCATIONS ~

(This scenery was created using the Freeware scenery design program Airport 210 and my Gateway 400Mhz Pentium II - 128 ram - 16Mb Voodoo Banshee AGP)

This FS2000 upgrade looks nothing like it's FS98 version as I've added LOT'S MORE trees, changed to the newer log cabins, and a little re-configuring on the shoreline in a few areas to give it my FS2K look. I've also managed to move the scenery areas to the edges of the Flattened land to make it the most fun, and to create more challengeing runways. If your using my Remote Cabins-Series 1 scenery, you'll find these FIVE Lakes very near Byron's Goldmine Cabin. Please visit the "Grizzly Lakes" web page for future updates.

1. Grizzly Lake -- N65 19.55-W149 29.59 -- Elevation: 1300 feet

If you have the FS98 version, you'll notice in this picture above that I've taken out the island and re-configured the runway somewhat. It took eight scenery .bgl files to cover the area with trees. What a difference! I also noticed a drop in my FS frame rate from 18 to 10 fps only at this area.

2. Chopper lake -- See coordinates for Grizzly Lake above.

Chopper Lake is actually on the same scenery file with Grizzly Lake and still only supports Heli-Copters. It does however cover a larger area as I've added more trees and wild animals. It's a good place to test your chopper skills.

3. Cold Water Lake -- N65 24.37-W149 20.38 -- Elevation: 1500 feet

Cold Water Lake still doesn't support a runway but you can still land around the outside of the treeline if you wish. This lake however was intended for Floatplanes only.

4. Beaver Lake -- N65 27.13-W149 46.35 -- Elevation: 1635 feet

Well dang, did I do that again? Another lake for Floatplanes, Beaver Lake is fun to fly. I just love the approach to this lake.

5. Bone Lake -- N65 13.52-W149 52.57 -- Elevation: 1100 feet

Here it is, the largest of the five lakes. Bone Lake supports a 1500 foot runway with plenty of dirt run-off on the ends. Accually, I took-off and landed an old tail dragger DC-3 at this airfield. You'll love this one too.

~ ACKNOWLEDGMENTS ~

I really owe Mr. John Grammer of Indiana, USA a great big "THANKS" for getting me started in creating Bush Pilot Sceneries. It was John's original idea. THANK YOU VERY MUCH JOHN !

A Big thanks to Brian McWilliams and the entire Flight Sim Group for creating the Scenery design program Airport 210 which I used to create this scenery. The APT210 program is a freeware program and is really quite easy to use. Please go to the Flightsimgroup home page at: http://www.flightsimgroup.com/ and check it out.

I enjoy ADDING 3rd Party 3D Macros to the scenery file so the FS user has a more pleasent and enjoyable experience. And I want to give a Super Big Thank You to the following designers for their hard work and effort to help make my sceneries look way they are.

Dan Geis For the Beach House macros and more. Dan designs not only macros but also creates scenery and aircraft. Please visit Dan's web site at: http://members.aol.com/dgeis23328/index.htm

Mark Remien For creating all the great "Wild Life" macros. The great Alaskan outdoors needs wild life for sure. Thanks Mark !

Gerrish Gray For the super nice Log Cabin macros. His Cabin macros really adds much to the realism in FS2000. I really enjoy them!
