~ REMOTE CABINS - Series 1~
Bush Pilot Sceneries for FS2000(only)
Created By: Mr. Ken "WeBad" Nelson

THANK YOU for downloading the Remote Cabin's Sceneries - Series 1. After figureing out how to create a Flatten Switch MY WAY, I decided to create these Remote Single Cabin Sceneries. According to the Microsoft Flatten Switch text, you should be able to install TEN Flatten Switches. However, after trying to create the tenth switch FOUR times, I couldn't get it to work so this scenery include's NINE SCENERIES. You'll fined them fun and challengeing and I tryed my best at creating them as realisitc looking as I could using the Airport 210 scenery design program. Also, I've spred them out accross Alaska and the Altitude's range from 100 to 5600 feet.

Please Enjoy!

:::::DISCRIPTION and COMMENTS::::: (Created with 400Mhz Pentium II - 128 ram - 16Mb Voodoo Banshee AGP)

( SPECIAL NOTE )--> These sceneries require EASY FS2000 SCENERY LIBRARY INSTALLATION and the installation of Flatten Switches placed into the FS2K SCENERY.CFG file. ( Please see installation section below )

When I first thought of creating these remote single cabin sceneries, I figured it would be really easy as each area would be a small scenery project in itself. However, the combination of all NINE scenery area's made it a very large project indeed. Even larger than Blake Resort turned out. You'll find plenty of fun and excitment with your wheel, float, or ski aircraft as you navigate the FS2K mountain terrian in Alaska. I've made some of the approaches challengeing as well.

Also, it was through trial and error that I figured out how to create a Flatten Switch for the FS2000 Scenery.cfg file. And I figured out TWO different ways to do it, which does not include the Microsoft way, but ends with the same results. And you'll notice a slight difference between the first 3 and the last 6 sceneries of this Series 1. For the first three sceneries, I used the Airport 210 program to locate the Flatten Switch coordinates. And the last six, I used FS2K itself to locate the Flatten Switch coordinates.

I liked using FS2K for these Flatten Switch locations the best so I've created a small tutorial on how to do this if your interested. The tutorial is written as HTML just like this file your reading now and includes pictures which shows how I create a Flatten Switch EASILY. Please go online to my Scenery Home Page to download the tutorial. "WeBads" Flightsim Sceneries

:::::ACKNOWLEDGMENTS:::::

I really owe Mr. John Grammer of Indiana, USA a great big "THANKS" for getting me started in creating Bush Pilot Sceneries. It was John's original idea and I created my first Bush scenery (Dark Lake) only 16 miles from his remote lake called A FISHING CAMP. I get the MOST pleasure from doing these Created Bush Pilot Sceneries. THANK YOU VERY MUCH JOHN !

A Big thanks to Brian McWilliams and the entire Flight Sim Group for creating the Scenery design program Airport 210 which I used to create this scenery. The APT210 program is a freeware program and is really quite easy to use. Please go to the Flightsimgroup home page at: http://www.flightsimgroup.com/ and check it out.

I enjoy ADDING 3rd Party 3D Macros to the scenery file so the FS user has a more pleasent and enjoyable experience. And I want to give a Super Big Thank You to the following designers for their hard work and effort to help make my sceneries look way they are.

Dan Geis For the Beach House macros and more. Dan designs not only macros but also creates scenery and aircraft. Please visit Dan's web site at: http://members.aol.com/dgeis23328/index.htm.

Mark Remien For creating all the great "Wild Life" macros. The great Alaskan outdoors needs wild life for sure. Thanks Mark !

Gerrish Gray For the super nice Log Cabin macros. His Cabin macros really adds much to the realism in FS2000. I really enjoy them!
