INSTRUCTIONS

With these files you'll be able to enjoy a C-182 panel similar to what DreamFleet created for FS2000 in your new FS2002.

It is in no way a DreamFleet 2000 sponsored product. Know that it is Un Official, Un Authorized and Un Supported by DreamFleet 2000. It was released in this manner as a last resort effort because so many have been waiting and asking about it for FS2002 and no hope is in sight that the creators of such a master piece would have time to work with it. This humble effort is free and to remain so just as the originals that gave birth and inspiration to this effort. The gauges included herewith, are part of the DreamFleet2000 C182 panel for FS2000 (which was Freeware BTW) but you don't have to install the original product. The rest of the gauges needed, you already got when you bought your copy of MS FS2002. The bitmaps have been adjusted to blend better with FS2002's infrastructure. Don't sell this panel, don't rent it, nor make any money with it, because that is illegal! And do not upload or post it anywhere else in the Internet. This panel was made with permission from DreamFleet2000.

To INSTALL the following steps:

Very Important !

1) Make a backup-copy of, or rename your Cessna 182S AIRCRAFT.CFG file, which is located at:

(driveletter):\FS2002\aircraft\c182

because a NEW AIRCRAFT.CFG is included here, so that this "instance" of the 182S will show up
under the Cessna AIrcraft, 182S DF model section using this panel. It will overwrite yours if you
answer "Yes". If you answer "No", your won't see the panel. SO BACK IT UP.

2) Unzip 182DFAY.ZIP into your Flight Simulator main folder. A subfolder called "panel.DF" will be created
and the bitmaps and panel.cfg files will be placed there. Nothing will be errased from your system.

The DF gauges will be placed in your GAUGES folder.

Don't use the DreamFleet Manager, if you still have it because it will make changes in your Windows register. It's not made to handle FS2002, Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

Caution! if you have already installed other panels in your c182 use the Optional Step in part 3.

3) (Optional step) Cut-and-paste the following paragraph into your FS2002\aircraft\c182 folder, and give it a sequence number that follows your aircraft.cfg [flightsim.##] sequence.

(If your last one was [fltsim.3], number this one [fltsim.4], and so on....)

This one is [fltsim.1], and it goes after [fltsim.0]. Be sure you follow your sequence in their correct order.
They must be in order. Or, you could just put this one for last as well with it's corresponding sequence number.

Paragraph starts below:

[fltsim.1]
title=Cessna Skylane 182S DF
sim=Cessna182S
model=
panel=DF
sound=
texture=
kb_checklists=Cessna182S_check
kb_reference=Cessna182S_ref
atc_id=N182DF
ui_manufacturer=Cessna
ui_type=C182S Skylane
ui_variation=White with green DF
description=When Cessna saw how well their Model 180 was selling, they looked for a way to make it an even bigger success\s the answer was the Model 182. The Cessna 182 Skylane feels and acts like a heavier, more powerful version of its sibling, the 172 Skyhawk. The airplane is a workhorse and a stable platform for flying on instruments. Even with a full tank, the 182 carries a family-size useful load and performs admirably as an aerial sport utility vehicle.

Paragraph ends above

(END of Optional Step)

You are done!

The plane will show up listed in your Aircraft selection as Cessna 182 DF (white with green) in the Cessna 182
section.

Have fun

WARNING: DO NOT USE ANY OF THE NEWER ALUMINUM-TEXTURES AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD IN THE INTERNET WITH THIS PATCH, BECAUSE THEY BLANK THE VIRTUAL COCKPIT TEXTURES. THEY ARE VERY NICE THOUGH, FOR SOME OTHER INSTANCES. MICROSOFT DIDN'T MAKE THE VIRTUAL COCKPITS COMPATIBLE WITH ALUMINUM TEXTURES . WE ARE INTEGRATING MICROSOFT'S VIRTUAL COCKPIT WITH THIS PANEL.
