Based on repaint templates and original textures by Greg Pepper, Max, and Tom Gibson, this textures set in 'Alitalia' livery requires the Tom Gibson's original Douglas DC-7C package.This plane and many other classic airliners can be downloaded free from Tom Gibson's Classic Airliner WEB site at http://www.calclassic.com/ . Installation instructions are included. This aircraft, purchased by 'Alitalia' during 1957, operated as passenger liner until 1961, when was trasformed in DC-7F. Repaint by Manuele Villa.

INSTALLATION
This download requires the previous installation of the original Douglas DC-7 SAS package.This plane and many other classic airliners can be downloaded free from Tom Gibson's Classic Airliner WEB site at http://www.calclassic.com/ .
1. Unzip DC7_ALIT.ZIP to a temporary folder, ensuring that you retain folder names.
2. Within the download, move the texture folder 'texture.ALIT' to the folder 'DC-7 SAS' within your 'Flight Simulator 9/AIRCRAFT/' (or FS2002/AIRCRAFT/') folder.
3. Back up the corresponding AIRCRAFT.CFG file (should you wish) and open the original with a text editor. Enter the following section under the last [flightsim.XX] entry, numbering it sequentially:

description=The DC-7C was a complete redesign abandoning the wing of the DC-4 allowing a further substantial increase in fuel and oil capacity. Updated engines gave slightly more power for take off and climb, but since the DC-7C was 17,000lbs heavier than the DC-7B performance was significantly reduced. This aircraft, purchased by 'Alitalia' during 1957, operated as passenger liner until 1961, when was trasformed in DC-7F. Original model by TOM GIBSON and GREG PEPPER.
