Mikoyan MIG-23MF Flogger G

by Kazunori Ito

*******************************************************************************

This work is an aircraft with the swing-wing it continues to F14.
I did not know this MIG-23 so much.
However, I was surprised to know that it was one of a lot of aircraft in Russia with.
It is interesting.
The back from the main wing looks like F-111.
And, the silhouette from the nose to the intake part is just like the F-4 Phantom II.
It be only me that think like that?

At any rate, I think it might be good looking in the aircraft of Russia.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meant as a point defense fighter, MiG-23 offered a powerful radar, an infrared search and track system, a selection of radar and infrared guided weapons and tremendous speed (Mach 2.35) to counter its adversaries.
The MiG-23 was designed in 1964-66 as a successor to the MiG-21.
In addition to a much more powerful engine, the MiG-23's most significant new feature was its variable sweep wing.
Like the USAF's swing wing F-111, the sweep of the wings could be changed in flight.
Fully spread, this gives a shorter takeoff/landing roll while carrying a heavier weapons load.
With the wings fully swept back, the MiG-23 has greater speed.
The wing has three sweep settings: 16, 45, and 72 degrees or variable.
The prototype first flew in April 1967 and MiG-23s began entering operational service in 1971.

[ About the directions point in FS2004 ]

This aircraft model is made by using FSDS Ver2.24.
Therefore, it is possible to play basically in FS2004(FS9).
However........!!
For a wide large-scale aircraft, the distortion is caused and the phenomenon of the aerofoil tip's disappearing happens in the spot shooting mode.
If this phenomenon happens, Please switch to the spot shooting mode by using other small aircraft.
Afterwards, if this aircraft is selected, it is normally displayed.
