TROUBLESHOOTING - COMMON PROBLEMS

Coast-Line-Maker is known to work with Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000
and Windows XP - it should run on any Win32 version capable of running
Flight Simulator 2002. All errors which prevent the program running that
have been reported can be resolved by taking the following steps:

This application was written using Visual Basic 6. If you get an error
such as "A required DLL file ... was not found", then your system does not
have the Visual Basic runtime library files, so you will need to download
and install them. These files area available from:
- Microsoft - go to:
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q235/4/20.asp
and get file VBRUN6SP4.EXE
- SurClaro - go to the "Must Have Files" section on the Main Menu,
and select VBRUN60.ZIP
- SOFTSEEK.COM - search for "VB6 RUNTIME" and select a suitable download
site for your location
- other file archive sites on the Internet
Install these files according the instructions given therein.

If you get an error message about COMCT232.OCX, you need to dowload
COMCT232.CAB (80KB file) from Microsoft:
http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vb6/comct232.cab
Unzip the file and move COMCT232.OCX into your Windows\system32 or
Windows\system folder (backup any existing version you may have first).

If you get an error message about COMDLG32.OCX, you need to dowload
COMDLG32.CAB (65KB file) from Microsoft:
http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vb6/comdlg32.cab
Unzip the file and move COMDLG32.OCX into your Windows\system32 or
Windows\system folder (backup any existing version you may have first).

If you get an error message about a "Type mismatch", you need to download
an updated Windows script file (665KB) from Microsoft - make sure you get
the version for your OS:
http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/vbscript/scripting.asp
