ADVENTURE Autopilot Direct Access Keys

Ctrl+Shift+A -- Enter a new altitude.

Ctrl+Shift+H -- Enter a new heading.

Ctrl+Shift+S -- Display autopilot status or cancel an errant altitude or heading entry.

Ctrl+Shift+0, Ctrl+Shift+1, Ctrl+Shift+2 . . . Ctrl+Shift+9 -- Enter the selected digit.

ADVENTURE Runtime Keys

Ctrl+K - Makes initial radio contact with an ATC facility.
Ctrl+R - Asks ATC facility to repeat their last transmission.

Ctrl+? while tuned to 122.20 (FSS) - Enter (or change) destination airport data.

Ctrl+W while tuned to 122.20 (FSS) - Asks Flight Service for a weather report.

Ctrl+U while tuned to 122.20 (FSS) - Asks Flight Service for a visual approach clearance.

Ctrl+I while tuned to 122.20 (FSS) - Asks Flight Service to toggle from VFR to an instrument approach.*
Ctrl+I while tuned to 122.20 (FSS) - Toggles clearance back to VFR after a controlled approach.
Ctrl+I while tuned to Approach - Toggles clearance back to VFR after a missed instrument approach.

Ctrl+G while tuned to Destination Tower - Requests a missed approach.

Ctrl+? while tuned to Destination Tower - Asks Tower to recite Approach Control's frequency.

Ctrl+G while tuned to Destination Ground Control - Ends the adventure.

*NOTE: A FlyVFR instrument approach has five (5) phases:

1. Flight Service issues squawk code, interim altitude, and Approach Control frequency.
2. Approach Control acknowledges you (Radar contact) and tells you to stand by.
3. You set NAV1 to the appropriate ILS frequency when in range (> 35 Nm).
4. After ILS signal reception , Approach Control vectors you toward the target runway.
5. Handoff from Approach Control to Tower for landing clearance.
