The airport Schwerin-Parchim is not far away from Schwerin, the capital of Mecklenburg -Vorpommern, part of the former East German Republic GDR. It is also nearly in the middle between Hamburg and Berlin and was planned to become the main airport in Northern Germany,

This scenery is made from my private photos and memory of my first and only visit to the airport in summer 2000. As I was not allowed to enter the airport (I was no passenger and there was no traffic anyway) everything further inside the airport is my imagination and
reconstrution of the original FS2k scenery. I have some problems with the taxiway texture,
it vanish from time to time, sorry but I blame it to the author of my commercial scenery program. Anyway I think this the first detailed freeware scenery of an airport in former GDR (of course besides the wonderful scenery of the military airbases in the south by Michael Spengler) for the FS2k. So enjoy it but take it on your own risk as I will not
take any responsibility to whatever may happen to your hard- or software!

Thanks to Rainer Lund for making it possible to have a rotating light on top of the tower and for his FAUN-firetruck. Same to Heyno Baumann (Hamburg scenery, a "must-have") for tips in general and of course to all authors whose api`s I used as there are among others I probabely forgot or don`t know

Ralf J. Triebel for a part of the fence (military style),
Christian Friedrich for the CF Vito and the Follow-Me (nice things!),
Jerry Arzdorf for the refuelcars
Pascal Meziat, Brian McWilliams, Tom Hiscox and Manfred Moldenhauer(Scasm!) for the
Piper-Collection
Ole Egholm (Stauning/DK) für die Maersk-Fokker 50
