Engine Fire Checklist
- Throttle: IDLE
- Start Lever: CUTOFF
- Essential Power: SET
- Transit Light: MONITOR
- Fire Handle: PULL
- Yaw Damper/Autopilot: OFF
If Fire Light Remains On:
- Fire Bottle: DISCHARGE
Wait at least 30 seconds
If Fire Indications Persist:
- Transfer Switch: TRANSFER
- Second Fire Bottle: DISCHARGE
If Fire Still Persists, attempt to blow out the fire:
- Do Not Lower Flaps Or Use Speedbrakes Unless Landing Is Imminent
- Clean Up Airplane: GEAR and FLAPS UP
- Accelerate to at least 250kts (Vmo Maximum)
If Fire Is Not Out:
- Land As Soon As Possible
If Fire Is Out, complete the following when time permits:
- (CAPT or F/O) Fuel Shutoff Valve: CLOSE
- (F/E) Engine Ignition: OFF
- (F/E) GB Light: CHECK ON
- (F/E) Check Electrical Load:
Freon: 36KW MAX EACH GEN
Air Cycle: 27 KW MAX EACH GEN
- (F/E) Turbo and Bleed: OFF
