PROBRIEF

PROBRIEF are sets of briefings by a professional airline pilot for departure and arrival for specific airports including rejected take-off briefs for aircraft with and without auto brake RTO settings.

These briefings are on separate MP3 files and may be played through any mp3 player set via the FS2004 kneeboard during an actual FS2004 session, or off screen using Media Player. The pilot can carefully follow the brief by referring to the relevant airport plate.

The importance and value of briefings cannot be overestimated. These are carried out in real life by each Pilot Flying (PF) for each leg on every flight. The reject drill is also discussed before every take-off. The simple logic being, that if you say something enough and repeatedly, your subjective mind will eventually allow you to carry it out without any conscious thought.

Most professional pilots can repeat the reject brief verbatim and the pilot concerned here is doing just that without any notes.

From a FSim point of view it will give the PC pilot an insight into professional flying and with respect to the arrivals and departures help teach VATSIM pilots the value of well thought out departures and arrivals and thus allowing them to improve their techniques and thus extract more enjoyment out of their flying and it will also may be of value to budding PC Air Traffic Controllers allowing a certain amount of standardisation to creep into the On-line flying environment for the betterment of all.

PROBRIEF will eventually be available for all major UK and International airports and will appear at various download sites as they become available. Updates and corrections will also be conducted when appropriate.

Alls files connected with PROBRIEF is strictly copyright and may NOT be used as an integral part of any commercial software or sold separately otherwise.

It also goes without saying that these recordings should NOT be used for real life flight operations.
