CFS Bell P-39Q Airacobra.

The P39 though not to popular with either the British or Americans found use on the Eastern Front under the Soviets. Its rugged construction and easy maintenance as well as its heavy armament of a 37mm cannon, made it an excellent ground attack aircraft.

The P-39 had originally been introduced as an interceptor, with addition of a turbocharger, and the engine mounted back from the cockpit, be allowing the installation of a 37 mm cannon firing through the propeller hub.

Based on FS98 Eric Johnson/Bruno Duffort original.

This virtual model represent a P-39Q Airacobra of VVS - Soviet Air Force, with the american registration number on the vertical stabilizer, which indicates that the plane was recently delivered to URSS. (Source: Historia de la aviacion, Edit.Viscontea-Argentina 1980).

I have included new textures, moving parts and damage profile for use with CFS1.

This virtual model is up-scaled to obtain a better view in Combat Flight Simulator.
(for accurate scale in FS98, replace the file P-39Q.mdl by P-39Q.old.mdl and rename this as P-39Q.mdl)
