For use with Microsoft Flight Simulator 98. This also requires AIRPORT
texture files (e.g. airpt001.oav, airpt002.oav, etc.) They have been
excluded to keep this file at a reasonable size... cutting down download
time. If you have downloaded much scenery lately, then you have them
already. If not, download the latest version of AIRPORT (airpt123.zip or
later).
THIS IS FREELY DISTRIBUTED - You may do anything you want with this as long
as you don't make any money. Feel free to upload this or any other scenery
or aircraft I've created (listed below) to any online service. The author
retains all rights to this software. The author is not responsible for
damage to anything. You may distribute freely, but this file MUST be
included.

Installation: Create a separate directory in your /FS98/Scenery directory
and put scenery files in their own scenery and texture subdirectories. For
example, here's a setup for a "new" directory (choose your own name
in place of "new", a good choice of name would be the state in which the new
scenery belongs).
Note: Make a backup of your FS98\Scenery\World.vis file before proceeding to
the next step.
In Flight Simulator, open the "World" menu and select "Scenery Library".
Make sure "FS98 WORLD" is highlighted and select "Files", then "Add...". In
the "Scenery Area Path" block, type "c:\fs98\scenery\new\scenery\*.bgl".
In "Scenery Area Title" type a name (e.g. "New Area"). In
"Scenery Area Type" select "Local". In "Scenery Area Layer:" enter "0001".
Click in the "Scenery Area Active" to turn on the check mark. Exit the menus
by clicking "OK".

This scenery is created from aerial maps, data obtained from the internet,
and from personal observation. It is as detailed and accurate as is possible
for the information I have and the limitations of Microsoft's Flight
Simulator.
Tour: Al Kharj Air Base was built from a bare base late in 1990 during
Operation Desert Shield. During the month of December, it grew from an empty
runway and a few tents to a thriving airbase and tent city. By mid January
1991, it was launching fighters into Iraq as part of Operation Desert Storm.
The base has continued to grow since the end of Desert Storm, and is known
today as Prince Sultan Air Base. This scenery is based on how it appeared in
1991 during Desert Storm.
