...located in this directory visually demonstrate how the dust FX will perform when properly located to the model in the aircraft.cfg file.

If the FX is located too low or too far forward (or a combination of both), the dust/mist FX will ‘ball-up’ and circulate under the wings and not naturally ‘blow-back’ while the aircraft is being throttled up. It is normal for tail dragger type aircraft to have a higher accumulation of dust around the tail area due to the angle the aircraft sits at in relation to the ground but there should still be a thrust of dust/mist being pushed well past the tail of the aircraft.

Please review both images so you have a visual understanding of how the FX should perform in the simulator when properly located using the provided formulas and gauge files.
