This aircraft is an AFG aircraft repaint. Copyright is held by AFG and the
respective painter who put his/her work into the line of freeware along with
AFG. The aircraft and model was developed entirely by AFG unless noted. All
copyright holders of this aircraft is listed under 'Credits'.

Especially Mr. Kohjiroh Sakamaki and Mr. Manny Osias have been a great resource
in our project. Mr Sakamaki has taken us a great many highly detailed photographs,
which has resulted in the great amount of detail visible in the cockpit (in co-
operation with the Museum of Aeronautical Sciences). He has also provided us with
detailed technical specifications as well as the Operations Manual. Mr. Osias has
helped us with detailed descriptions of the real-life operation of the YS-11, which
has been extremely useful for the development of the flight model and aircraft
systems.
For stall modeling the excellent documentation provided by Steve Baugh was used.
Some of the related flight dynamics values may be present in this model.
This addon requires Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002. Install this aircraft by
extracting all files to the Aircraft folder under your FS2002 directory. Before
unzipping make sure you have 'Use Folder Names' option enabled. If you have any
problems, please check out the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) on our website
or post a question in the forum at our web site: http://www.alliedfsgroup.com
After extracting the archive, there is still a few things left you will need to
do. In addition to the standard subfolders that are common to all FS aircraft,
there are two new ones: gauges and effects.
First, open the effects folder, and copy (or move) the fx_tchdwn_ys11.fx contained
in it into the main effects folder under FS.
Second, open the gauges folder, and copy (or move) the ys11_gauges.cab contained
in it into the main gauges folder under FS. Please note: Depending on your system
settings, Windows may not show the *.cab file extension. In that case, you will
only see a file named ys11_gauges. In addition, this file will show up with WinZip
icon, as Windows automatically recognizes all *.cab files as archives. However,
you should not extract the contents of this file! copy the file as it is into the
FS2002's main gauges folder. If you extract this file, you'll see a collection of
*.bmp and *.xml files. If extracted, the gauges will not work!
If after installation you get an error stating that FS cannot find a model file,
it is caused by a "." character in the folder name that the aircraft resides in.
Please remove the dot from the "2.0" in the folder name. This error does not
prevent the aircraft from being used, but it is a nuiscance. This error should
only be present on some of the earlier uploads of the v2.0 YS-11, it has been
already fixed on the later ones.
