Mil Mi8 Hip

The Mil Mi8 Hip is my first released FS Aircraft, I learnt on my first two that 40+ sided fuselages means frame rates of the order of millihertz. I originally purchased Flight shop but never really had the time to figure it out and I really couldn't do what I wanted to do with it. During this summer's university holidays I had a lot of time on my hands so I made the commitment to buy FSDS PRO and got stuck into it. I have always wanted a large helicopter and the only people that seem to make them are the Russians. Most of the large Russian helicopters don't exist as late version FS models, so It seemed like a fairly easy first project. I had a choice between the Mi26 Halo or some other Very large helicopters but settled for the Hip because I could find more info on it. It started off as a hollow fuselage but it started hogging frame rates so it turned into a solid fuselage. It is painted as an Aeroflot passenger transport that once attended the Paris Air show.
